Create an In-Home Basic Tool Kit for Quick Repairs

Create a Basic Tool Kit and keep it handy for easy, quick, household repairs! You can keep these basic tools in a hall closet, a kitchen drawer, or under the sink in the bathroom or kitchen in a toolbox or plastic box .

Even if you don’t do small repairs yourself and you hire a handyman to do it for you. You can’t guarantee he’ll bring everything he needs. Your in-home tool kit should include these basics.

THE BASIC TOOLS: A medium weight hammer, each type of screwdrivers, smaller sizes of screwdrivers, cordless drill, various nails and screws, and a putty knife.

GRIPPING TOOLS: Pliers, an adjustable wrench, and needle-nose pliers.

MEASURING TOOLS: A tape measure, a ruler and a level.

CUTTING TOOLS: Wire cutters, utility blades, and a straight edge.

MISC. ITEMS: Pencils, painter’s tape, Felt Dots, Plastic Dots, and Carpet Dots, Spackle, different types of glue, solvents to remove paint, scratches and gooey-stuff.

SAFETY ITEMS: Safety glasses, masks, gloves and ear protection.
