This was the worst experience moving ever. The Monae Movers was schudule to be at our location on Saturday August 30,2014 between 3:00pm-4:00pm. At 3:00pm I recieved a text message from Talib stating he was running behind and would be at our location by 6:30/7:00pm. At 5:47pm I recieved at text stating he was coming from Asburn Va. At 7:10 another text message stating he was in the District ( Washington DC) stating his GPS says he was 36mins. away. At 8:08 I called his cell phone and recieved no answer. A 8:20pm he called and stated he was losted on rt 713 and Severn Road. My husband told to him to park at the Hardees and he would meet him. Because we live on Fort Meade he had to go though the check points. My husband informed him he would have to show his DL and car reg. At the check point he showed a State ID and did not have a license. There was a female passenger who did not appear to be able to assist in the move. We had two Helper schedule to assist in packaging a POD container. The Monae Movers were turned away at the check point by the staff at the gate.

I can't believe how phenomenal Monae Movers were. It was a last minute need on Labor Day weekend.... They called me within five minutes of my request and they got over to my house within two hours. They somehow got our furniture finished loaded and then unloaded within two hours (that had taken my fiancé and I four hours to start loading). Highly recommended for their flexibility and hard work!!! Not a thing scratched and not ridiculously priced! Plan on calling them again when I move my house out of storage. Thanks again guys!

Outstanding workers. No damage to anything even when unloading the truck in the pouring rain. They were always concerned with the condition of my furniture and my house. I wouldn't hesitate to use them again in the future.

Fantastic service. They were great about communicating with me before the move, they showed up right on time and were quick, efficient, courteous and absolutely professional. I had a lot more stuff than I initially anticipated and they were flexible and tolerant of my poor estimations. I would definitely use them again.

Where do I begin?! This crew showed up early, but that was one of the only positives. They unloaded our truck quickly (it took 1 hour), but did not work well together or follow instructions well. For example, we asked them not to place the boxes in front of the furnace in the basement. Most of the boxes were stacked in front if the furnace in the basement (???). We hired them for 2 hours and they started saying their goodbyes 1 hour later. My husband said, "Who do you expect to help me assemble the furniture?" They claimed their boss only instructed them to unload the truck. They did not even bring tools. Before we booked them, they assured us they would bring power tools. When I called their boss, he said, "I may have forgotten to tell them to bring their tools." I replied, "Whose problem is that? What is your solution?" He told me he'd call his crewmembers. Apparently, they did not answer, so he called me back and asked me to put them on the phone. I had to inform him, they walked off the job. A bag of weed fell out of one of the mover's pockets on the way out. It was just bad. I asked him what he was going to do and he told me his men "said" they finished the job. Since, he had issues reaching them, I have no clue when this imaginary conversation happened. He then hung up on me. I called back and he answered the 3rd time and told me I'd have to figure out what to do on my own because I had a "difficult personality". I told him, if he was not prepared to finish the job, we would block payment. He said, "Do whatever you need to do." I called hireahelper and they cancelled our order without payment and sent another company to finish the job 1 hour later, thankfully! When the owner realized the order was cancelled, he called back to appeal to my husband - saying he thought he'd be more "reasonable". My husband said, "Didn't you tell my wife you weren't going to finish the job, she was "difficult" and tell her to block payment if she wanted to?" He said, "Yes." My husband said, "Then why are you calling me?" End of story. We were very diplomatic for undergoing the stress of moving and having to put up with terrible service. I am happy to have used hireahelper, so we did not get stuck with the charges for a job half done.

These guys are magical! Literally you turn around and the job is done! They are super fast, professional, and careful with your possessions. They were on time and very friendly. I highly recommend Monae Movers to anyone trying to move!
