They were friendly and informal, and finished the job in a little more than an hour (as I had estimated). It was an easy job, and they spent the rest of the time carrying light things that I could have done by myself, but saving energy for me. (I wa…read mores moving from one apt. to the next in the same building).They tried to put things away in the same places where they had found them in the vacated apt. Nothing was damaged or defaced. I would have given them highest recommendation except for one point. The lead guy began to talk about tipping after about 45 minutes. He explained, "If you want to tip us...etc." and mentioned it three times. Maybe because I have just come to the U.S., but I found it offensive. A professional should never ask for a tip, because a tip is the customer's own thanks. Although their work was good, I got annoyed and also noticed that Mover #2 seemed embarrassed. I did go out to a nearby store for cash and tipped them because I wasn't sure of the policy. But it more or less spoiled an otherwise good job. Show Response
