They were scheduled to move me at 12:00AM, about 11:00 they called to tell me 1 of their crew called in sick and they needed to push my move back to between 2:00-3:00PM. I let them know that my Uhaul was due back by 6:00PM. The called again at 2:30 saying they were still unloading and it would be even later before they could get to my home in Huntington Beach. I asked where they were unloading from and they said San Bernadino...okay so now there is no way I can get the Uhaul back without charging additional day. She said well it will only take them another hour to unload, but then you have to add on a 90 minute drive time. Now we are talking a 5 - 6 hour delay from my scheduled time.

They did a great job packing my things into a POD for a cross-country move. It was 101 degrees and awful out but they just kept going and got it all done.

I would highly recommend Johnny B Movers. They arrived on time, worked hard, and helped move all of my belongings from two storage pods into my apartment. They were EXTREMELY careful with everything, and treated my stuff like it was theirs, which I really appreciated. They worked so hard and efficiently, that they were done in half the amount of time I thought it would take.
Overall, I would absolutely use them again and recommend them again to anyone moving!

I'm giving 5 stars because of one of the guys, John C. was amazing. He protected our carpet without me asking. Not a nick, smudge or any ding or scratch after moving 4 containers up 3 floors. All stairs.
And going over and above, I have to be able to fit a car in my garage. I had given up on being able to fit both the stuff and the car; but John C. reorganized the boxes, stacked them one level higher and both the car and boxes fit.
So 5 stars to John C.
Johnny B was late getting the guys here and didn't provide clear information on when they would actually show, for 3 hours the answer was "they are on their way". I had to originate the calls, every hour while I waited to get information.

Hour and a half late. Scheduled for 9 am. Then left before finishing the job to do another job that just came up asking me how flexible I could be. My guess is bigger job, bigger check. Older man and 18 yr old, very pleasant, did not work quickly. Promised to return to finish my half filled POD by 4:30. No communication. Very concerned by 8:00 pm. no word from movers. They return at 9:00 pm. older man was rude when I told him I wasn't very happy and said they didn't have to return, even though they hadn't worked for the 3 hrs I contracted. Also brought a 15 yr old with them to help. Did not finish until 12:30 in the morning. I appreciate that these people work hard but I was lied to, inconvenienced, unable to leave to get anything to eat because I didn't know when they would return. awful experience and made my move across the country very stressful. I don't know how well things were packed as the POD hasn't arrived yet. I would not recommend them to anyone.

Well, To start they were to show up between 7AM and 8AM but didn't arrive till 9:30AM. They said they were given a time change. come to find out they were lost after digging,the driver has an old phone that the GPS is less than accurate. The Three workers I hired, the lead who was stress upon arrival due to being late (I had called the company and the owner did return my call about 20 min later and told me they had a different time)
The second worker, not even out of high school, excellent worker and great attitude worked his tail off, the lead was very "hipper" but worked hard also, jump and seemed in a rush to get it done, granted I like that attitude but the gash out of the wall upstairs from the dolly they used was not in the plan. the third helper, well never had been on a job of moving before, very thin and looked like he should carry out the artificial flowers, not strong! and then after the first hour became very sick and curled up in the back of the leads car, only after spending and hour in the bathroom. So I hire three workers, really get Two that are able to do anything and a newbie who should never have been sent out on a move. ok so I'm being straight forward on this, I'm in the service business and so I thought I would give this service a try. well I was wrong. reviews are not always forthright but I telling you the way it was. Granted my move took Two and a half hours longer than planned.
(held up one of my trucks and drivers who had plans, that's why the move was scheduled early) the lead did credit me for the sick kid, and no OT it was a wash on the labor. overall it was not a pleasant experience and I will spend the "big buck" on a national moving company next time. it's worth it.

Late and extremely unproffesional. Only saving grace was the care and concern for my belongings. I would not use them again
I understand now after talking to you how we ended up with this review. Your wife did the reviews. One for the company that loaded you(us) and one for the company that unloaded you(not us) and she mixed up who was who. I'm very happy to hear that we are a 5star company in your opinion and that you would use us again for all your moving needs.

I scheduled for 8-9am, the night before I called and asked if John could be there at 8... No problem he said! He arrived on time and worked very hard to get everything done. He brought some of his own supplies (dolly and some leftover wrap and tape he had) and wrapped and padded everything well (do have your own packing materials though for him to use). All my valuables and electronics were packed well and arrived undamaged. He got a ton of stuff into my moving truck and packed everything very smart. Its obvious he's done this before and does it well. I would recommend him to anyone looking for help loading or unloading a moving truck. Very hard worker and a nice guy. Great job, thanks John!

The movers were 4 hours late. I received a call from their company a few minutes after the scheduled arrival time (1 PM), to let me know they'd be there at 2:30, due to items to be unloaded at a previous job arriving late. At around 3:30 I received a call letting me know they were on their way from at least an hour away, and they arrived at 5.
They were prepared for the job, with dollies and straps as needed. They did work hard, and moved fairly quickly. They were respectful of my goods, and were careful with the large furniture going up the stairs, but there were a couple of spots where they scrapped the walls.
I am on the fence about using them again. Their price was still very good.
Thank you for your review. Again I apologize for the delays in getting there. As I explained to you then, there are times when the job before yours runs late for what ever reason and we just won't leave the job until it's done.
