Workers were nice and friendly. Can’t say that they knew how to pack a 26’ moving truck. Would never use thus company again. Workers were almost 2 hours late, did not bring the tools they needed for the job, workers employers were terrible to work with and contracted for work, work to be performed appeared on the contract, then company said oh we don’t provide that service it was an internal error. What BS, I don’t care about your poor customer training I care about the work you were hired to do than did a bait and switch on. Stay away from this company, they are bad news. When you are moving you don’t need this kind of stress from your moving company

Tom and his helper were on time, professional and prepared to do the job. No milking here, they were on it.! As a former New Yorker who expects graft and corruption, I wasn't sure how this was going to work out, but you can feel safe with this outfit.

They were on time and respectful. The problem was that there was no sense of urgency to complete the job and they worked extremely slow. What was scheduled as a 2 hour job took 4 1/2 hours and my husband ended up helping for 2 hours to expedite the job. We ended up wrapping all the furniture and everything was organized. Unfortunately it ended up costing is almost double the cost. I do not recommend their company.

I loaded 10 feet of a 16 foot container and used hire-a-helper to load the remaining 6 feet of heavy items. Everything looked good to the eye when they were done, and I appreciated that they were able to fit more than I expected, plus they were very nice. With there being a few more empty spaces to squeeze some small items, the next day I opened the container and noticed they did not tie anything down. It took me the entire day to unload 3.5 feet of heavy items and tie everything down as I reloaded.
I called Hire-a-helper a few days later to confirm the next scheduled service and told them what happened. They said I should have called at that time so there is nothing they could do. I had one day to fix this mess before the container was being picked up, so there was no time to do anything except unload, and reload load correctly.
I asked for half of my money back and Hire-A-Helper said no.
I have no choice but to use them again at my destination, but will not be using them for my next container which is in 4 weeks.
Very disappointed.
