I hired Kelly's Moving Service through Moving Labor.com to assist with unloading my moving truck from Jacksonville, FL to the Lake Mary, FL area.
They Accepted the job and contacted me or I contacted them right away to see if they would be able to do the job scheduled between 3-4 pm EST.
She reassured me that they would get my job done that night no matter what. BOY!!! Was I wrong!!
I called them SEVERAL Times asking were they still coming to Unload the truck. She PROMISED ME they would unload my TRUCK, no matter the time. THEY NO SHOWED.
This company put me off continually until after 7:30 pm that evening, then called and made some lame excuse about their vehicle not working, and not being able to fulfill the job.
(Totally not believing the story).
Totally unacceptable and unprofessional. There were no auto repair shops open till the next day or Monday anyway; so why not finish the job. Especially since they took the full amount of the job at the time of the booking. I had family fly in and drive from North Carolina to assist with the move, and Kelly's Moving Service, left us hanging, to unload a 26' truck by ourselves, and too late to hire another company.
Do yourself a favor and go with another moving company, who will follow through and complete their job Even if that means towing their car, and calling a Uber etc. to get the job done.
You need a company reliable, competent, and sincere about getting the job done. I wouldn't trust them again to disappoint with a job as important as a long distance move. I'm ex military so we come from a different value system. You don't QUIT till the MISSION is done, and by any legal and ethical means necessary. PERIOD.

CUSTOMER BEWARE! I contracted 4 movers for 4 hours to unload my furniture. Two people arrived at my house, one guy, one small woman. I asked about the other movers and she told me she couldn't get anyone else to help her and she had to "borrow" a car to get here which had "New Jersey" license plates on it. I should have sent them off but really needed to get the furniture unloaded as I was on a timeline with the rental truck and thought with their help I could get the truck unloaded. The first piece to come off the truck was a highboy dresser. I took one side, due to the female being incapable of lifting, and the guy took the other. I went backwards down the ramp and the guy stepped off of the truck, missing the ramp, breaking the legs off of the furniture. The lady apologized, took pictures and said she had insurance to cover the damage. She then called Hire a Helper and told them about the damage to the highboy dresser. They stayed at my house for 3 hours, with the guy and me doing most of the work, as the female was incapable of helping. We had more than half the truck left to unload and I told them it wasn't working and they needed more people to get the heavy stuff off of the truck. They agreed to come back the next morning. The lady called me later and said they could come back, but I would have to come to Orlando and pick them up, since she didn't have a car. I declined, I called Hire a Helper and contracted with another company to finish the job. They unloaded the rest of the truck and put the beds together within 3 hours. What a difference it makes to get the right company.
I filled out a claim form for the damaged highboy, and received a message from Hire a Helper saying that Kelly's Moving Service denied anything was broken, and the legs just fell off the furniture. I then received the following text from Kelly's - " I have received your complaint from Hire a Helper insurance does not cover property that the customer moves are handles themselves." I asked them to please send me the contact for their insurance. They replied "What is the claim you handled the property." I explained the mover fell off the truck and damaged the furniture, they replied "Claim you caused the fall by stepping to quickly and not communicating and your not an employee witch is a midagating factor if their was a claim of fault." I decided at this point that I have been conned out of several hundred dollars.
So, this is not a real moving company, they obviously have no insurance, and they have a real problem with ethics.

Very friendly woman could not carry heavy furniture did the new job too fast ruined a good portion of my wood furniture asked her to slow down told her I would make another trip on my own she wouldn't listen to me or her partner but they did go out-of-the there way on other ways to help me but is costing me over the amount I paid them to repair my furniture

I recently hired Kelly's moving service to help me unload and load a pod. They did a great job of getting things out safely and into my town home even though some furniture required maneuvering. Monique and Marvin did a great job and I would recommend them!
