In the end they did a good job. At first I was apprehensive because tow guys in shorts showed up and I was expecting someone in a uniform or at least a shirt that said their company name. I did have to monitor them and let them know if I wasn't comfortable with how they loaded an item and they were fine with my directing them some. They got through in the 2 hours I expected it to take and I did tip each one $ 10.00. I would recommend this company but do suggest you have movers that at least wear a company shirt. It would look more professional.

First off, I hired giant monkey movers but another company was subcontracted unbeknownst to me. The name of the company was Big Deahl Movers out of Rancho. I found this out when a card slipped out of my paperwork and I asked the mover if he was from GMM. He indicated he was not. He never introduced himself and came unprepared(no refrigerator dolly, no plastic wrap or rope). He had to leave and go to Home Depot and only picked up the plastic wrap 40 minutes lost. Short version is they really did not know how to pack. Did not secure my fragile items, furniture or anything except the fridge and that was at my insistence. He put one strap high up not enough to prevent it from moving and the worst part is he put it on last so it is right in front of the doors. They forgot to put part of my bed on the truck as they just wanted this job to end. Horrible experience and not cheap at 175 an hour. I called monkey movers yesterday and left a message. I called hire a helper. They got in touch with them. Caleb (I believe) was the owner of GMM called he sent someone out to my house to secure the refrigerator. Al arrived right on time prepared. Thank goodness he was skinny. He climbed all through the pod to secure my fragile things as well as my furniture. Al indicated that they did not pack the pod properly. My antique 5' lamp was sitting precariously on top of bedding unsecured. The beds should have been together, the refrigerator should be at the back not the front and the heavy furniture should have been center and together. They put all my totes at the back then a bed then more furniture then a bed then heaviest items at the front. I'm no professional mover that is why I hired GMM who was recommended by hire a helper. I don't have total confidence my belongings will make it across country unscathed but given the circumstances I don't have a choice as the pod was being picked up today. I do appreciate GMM sending Al who clearly knows what he is doing to tie down the refrig and fix as much as was possible. But I feel this should not have happened in the first place. Important to vet who you are subcontracting with and more importantly. Do not mislead your customers into thinking it is GMM you are getting when what I got was 2 inexperienced guys. I'm extremely disappointed and frankly worried about my belongings.

Joseph and Assistant were Awesome. On-time, ready to work and got after it. Found answers to questions also about our PODS in Storage with options now available on unloading in our Condo. I will definitely follow up with them on their suggestions and make it easier on us when we DO get those Containers. I would recommend to anyone and give them a 5-Star mark !!

Very nice and professional. Got to work right away. They were able to load all my furniture into the 16' pod and leave room for me to load in a few bags and boxes. The job was done in a little over an hour. Well within the two hour time frame. They did not try to sell me things I didn't need like extra boxes or pads. I appreciated how easy they made this move for me.
