Melancon Moving And Freight Services is a family-owned and operated business, with over 21 years of experience, that provides moving labor services to load and/or unload your moving truck or POD. In addition, we also provide packing services, as well as pre and post-move cleaning of homes and apartments, for an extra charge. Our company services all of central Illinois, including; Decatur, Springfield, Bloomington-Normal, Champaign-Urbana, Lincoln, Clinton, Taylorville, and Mattoon. We look forward to providing you with a professional moving experience. Please Note: 1) We do charge an extra $25.00 per job/per location, for any flights of stairs past the second floor (unless there is an elevator that can be utilized). 2) Anything more than a 3-Man team requires a minimum of 72 hours notice. 3) We are unable to accept any job if we have not been able to make contact with the customer after two (2) attempts, in order to discuss the details of the move, even if our schedule is open for that particular date.

This is the second time we have used Doug and his crew. Excellent job ! They took care in preparing our belongings, and our house, when moving the items. The crew was on time, and was willing to stay until the job was done. Doug and his team were very accommodating with our suggestions and worked diligently to assure the protection of our goods and everybody on site. Doug anhis sons were excellent. Thoughtful of my items, and cleaning their feet, from any items from walking on a damp sidewalk. I was blown away for how caring they were of my items. I plan to use Doug and his sons this summer, for I have items in Marshfield Missouri. Their kindness will be forever grateful for how caring they were........Thanks!!!!!

I was very pleased with Melancon Services. They packed my rental truck very well for the long trip 1300 miles. No damage was noted on any item and they packed the truck as full as possible. They were very careful in the house. They worked very well together. I appreciated their work ethic and plan to use them in phase 2 of my move ! I would recommend them to others.

The Melancon movers are a Father and 2 Son operation. They have a very organized method of moving your things. The sons carried the furniture items and boxes out to, in my case, PODS, and the Father packed them. The rooms were staged like one room at a time as best as could be done. The family are quiet and respectful of each other and to me. They were easy to have in my house and with my things. They clocked out when they took breaks. They were big and strong and moved the heavier things with ease. Yes, they did work hard and stayed on the task. They are insured and careful with my things. For example, blankets, polyester twine, shrink wrap, etc.. Doug, the owner with give you a list to have available to them for moving day.
