The interaction with this company started off very poorly. Though they confirmed the job and day and time a week ahead of the move, I had to reach out several times to re-confirm the day before since I had not heard any updates on their end. On the day of the move, the movers were supposed to show up between 10am and 11am - we were on a fairly strict timeframe, so I was very irritated to not hear anything from them saying they were running late. A little after 12pm, two movers showed up with a bag of fast food in hand. Their first interaction with me consisted of letting me know they had a "long night" and a request that we give them some time to have their lunch. I was a bit shocked at this request and I let them know that we were kind of in a hurry - owing that they were already an hour late - so I didn't think an immediate lunch break was a good idea.
They understood this, and promptly got to work soon after. Both of the movers actually did a very good job when all was said and done packing my belongings quickly and securely in a U-Haul in about 2.5 hours.
Overall, the communication with the company prior to and day-of the move was poor, though once they showed up and got working, the arrangement worked out relatively well.

These 2 gentleman were great! They took a lot of care to make sure they didn't bump walls and survey the area to decide the most efficient way to bring the furniture in. Above all, there were so darn nice.

My appointment was in the afternoon, they were running late, but they called ahead to let me know. They came prepared, I staged items to be loaded and what they could ignore. That helped a ton, they worked non-stop and wrapped up with plenty of time to spare. Very respectful, I'd defiantly use them again.

These guys showed up on time and worked hard for six hours. They went over and above to do get the job done. The moving truck was packed tightand everything made it to the new place intact. I would recommend them and use them again. These guys saved me a ton of work and I thought their fee was reasonable.

How two guys managed to get all my stuff into a pod carefully and with a great attitude is beyond me. I was really impressed with this team. They worked super hard and super fast and were pleasant to be around (and let's face it moving is stressful, and I was delighted to be around people in a good mood!). They were right on time, and I would definitely g=hire them again!

I am so happy to say that my experience working with Stress Free Movers was amazing! They had excellent communication and customer service skills. They were flexible with me regarding the exact time of my arrival for the unloading job I hired them for. It worked hard and accomplished the job in the amount of time agreed-upon. I now understand why they chose the name Stress Free Movers. They truly created a stress-free experience for the second half of my move (which was opposite from the experience I had with the business that originally loaded my belongings into the moving truck...(a company that is not with Hire a Helper). I highly recommend working with stress-free Movers! I'm so glad I did!!!

Scheduled to arrive between 11:00 - !2:00, the helpers did not arrive until 2:30. Once they had arrived, they worked very well for me, however, the change of arrival time caused problems with completing the moving in a time frame (e.g. returning the rental truck, hauling trash to the dump, etc.) The helpers worked hard, brought furniture pads, and were respectful of my property and goods. I would use these helpers again but the management caused the time delay.

I can't express how grateful I was to have hired Stress Free Moves & Packing for our arrival into Vacaville. They showed up right on time, and brought all the things with them that they would need for moving - plus some! There were two middle-aged gentlemen as well as two young men there to do all the heavy lifting, and not one of them was less able than the other. They were very gentle with our furniture (despite the fact that the first set of movers, Jay's Moving Service, practically destroyed every last item from our Southern California home), asked where we wanted things before just leaving our heavy items (fridge, couches, etc.) in the corners, and even attempted to fix and/or rebuild the furniture that was disassembled or damaged in transit with their own tools & hardware. They were such thoughtful men, and I will definitely be calling them again for when we make our way back home to Southern California come 2016. Use these guys on your next move - you certainly won't be disappointed!

They were scheduled for an arrival time between 10-11. To me, that means: plan on them showing up at 11. They called ahead of time and showed up at 10:15. They were very careful with all of my furniture, and got so much more stuff loaded into my truck and trailer than I imagined was possible! These guys are pro's! They were efficient, polite, cautious, and took direction well. I will definitely hire them again.
