I would not recommend this company, as they are unprofessional and lack integrity. They were an hour late (which they called to let us know that morning) because Tim's partner never showed. The helper Tim brought appeared to be a teenager. We had them move some furniture out of our living room into our garage and basement, as well as disassemble a canopy bed. They nicked our wall with a piece from the canopy bed. When my husband asked about it the teenage boy denied hitting the wall. My husband asked Tim to fill hole with putty, and Tim later said to my husband that he wished his partner would have been honest about doing it. Tim and partner moved an oversized leather couch from the living room to the basement. It was difficult to get downstairs so they had to take the door off the hinges and maneuver it for quite a while. In the process, they nicked up the wooden door frame, walls and banister leading to the basement but also put a few deep scratches in our hardwood floors. They did not bring anything to protect the floors or furniture while moving it despite a call I had with Tim ahead of time mentioning that we had hardwood floors and wanted to ensure they were protected. We did not notice the scratches in the wood until a few days later (due to the way the sunlight hits the floors) at which point we contacted Hire a Helper, who advised us to first follow up with Tim directly. I called Tim and explained the situation and he said he would call me back in 30 mins. After not hearing from him, I called back 2 days later and there was no answer. The next day I called back and blocked my number and Tim's wife answered. She asked who was calling when I asked for Tim (which she hadn't done when I called previously before work was done) and when I identified myself she said he was on a job and would call me back. I waited for a return call for 2 days before calling again and left a voicemail and he never returned my calls. I finally received an email response from him, which was forwarded to me by Hire a Helper once I filed a claim, and was not received until 12 days after leaving my last voicemail. In the email he denied any wrong doing. The only thing more disappointing than him denying any responsibility for the scratched floors or nick in the wall was the fact that he was so unprofessional and did not return any of my phone calls to try to talk through a solution.
