I did at first hire one of the movers from the HIREAHELPER.COM until I realized there was a better deal with 3 men for about the same price as the one I called that would only come with one man doing the job. After filing out the form online I had to put a credit card number in, luckily I had one with just enough to put the amount. After I was calmed down feeling like it would at last be taken care of I scrolled down and saw that the bottom one was the much better deal.. Of course everyone wants to better deal but I needed it badly, I immediately called the company I hired and they told me I had to go through HIREAHELPER.COM to change anything because they I called I was put on hold and and t only got paid after doing the job. HIREAHELPER.COM is the company that pays them. So I called and it was busy. The recording said the them holding time was no more than 5 minutes. I held for about 15 minutes or more and finally got a recording that said to leave a name and number and they would return my call. I waited for close to 45 minutes and never received a call so I called back.. Immediately someone answered and I explained that I would like to change the mover I'd just picked to the next one down. The guy on the phone said in order to do this I would be charged a $50 fee for not doing so within an hour. but I explained that I did call right away but his number was busy and the recording said that someone would call me right back but didn't. It wasn't my fault that I couldn't get through to them or that they didn't return my call. I was very upset about this because I am at a very hard time in my life at the moment, going through divorce and having a controlling spouse with the money in our bank. To him if youre a stay at home mom, that doesn't pay, it has no value. For 18 years I worked as a stay at home mom to find out I was working for free....hum? So you can imagine how angry I was that I would be charged $50 dollars for no reason at all. I explained to them that I'd held on that busy phone and then waited for someone to call me back and never got anyone. So now that I'm calling again and he answered right away I started to tell him my problem. I wanted to switch my mover since it came with three men to do the job instead of the one I was going to pay the same price for. The man on the phone told me that in order to do that I would have to pay $50 to change since I hadn't called him back within an hour. When I read the ad again it said you would be charged if you called within the same day up to the hour before your move. I was quite upset and felt the that if the guy would have tried to listen as I explained to him, I wouldn't have been so angry. He didn't care as long as he was charging the money on my credit card. I'd been searching for someone to help me move boxes that I packed to move into storage until my apartment was ready. This in itself was just really too much for one person to do, and then I couldn't even find a friend with a truck who could help me get these few boxes into my second storage unit so I had to go to the internet for professional help. That night before I'd stayed up until t 5am searching and finally gave up. The next morning I got up early since I needed this done on Saturday. It was Friday. I stumbled upon Hireahelper.com. I was thrilled since I had no one that had a truck to help me and I was trying to just get someone to take about 30 boxes to my second storage room that was less than 1/2 a mile away. Being exhausted I was so glad just to find a site that had four companies to pick from that I could finally get the help I needed. I quickly put in my information and got the four results. The first two were very high so I went with the third one since it was much less than the first two. Right away I called and asked if they could do this and was told it was possible to do it the next day, He explained that yes he could do it and the way it worked is they did the work and after I paid hireahelper.com,, HIREAHELPER.COM would then pay the moving company. When I called the company that I'd hired back they told me I had to go through the hireahelper to have anything changed. That is where the trouble started. The movers were very polite and helpful. By the way, I had to put in credit card info thinking it was to hold it because I had cash that I wanted to pay with. So this is where it all started and I was put on hold. Now I know this was partly my fault for not reading all of them before inputting my information but this guy was rude and told me that if I wanted to change I would have had to call within an hour. I explained that I did but the line was constantly busy and after holding and being told I'd be called back and then NOT being called back I didn't feel I should be charged that fee. He let me know since it was over an hour it would cost me $50. I explained again that I had no money to be doing this and was trying the best I could to do whatever I could on my own and if he could just help me and switch the company I'd really appreciate it. I was in a bad situation at the time. He didn't care. Told me he would call the company, switch to the other one and then charge my card the $50 and refund the remaining. I was so angry that then I went on another search because I didn't want anything to do with a company that had no sympathy and couldn't understand what it was like to be in such a bad situation. To me, it wouldn't have been a big deal. Nothing was done yet. I called in time but he didn't return my call in time. Who;s fault is it? In the end after searching more I found a WONDERFUL company called Betten Movers. They were very fast, friendly and had the job done before the two hours were even up. That's the way things should be done. So I'm sorry for the wrong information for the BEST DEAL MOVERS. This was never their fault. If you do call HIREAHELPER.COM, make sure that if something doesn't sound right or fair ask if his name is David.
