Before my moving day, I had several phone conversations with Mr. Holland reviewing my needs and details of my big day. This was extremely helpful as the details of the move changed a few times. Staff were well-prepared, friendly and got right to work upon arrival. They took great care in moving my valuables; they rebundled my boxes if they identified potential accidents. My movein was equally as professional and swift--apartment was on the third floor. My bed was set up for me and heavier boxes were moved a few times until I was certain of their new location. I would suggest, however, that there be a guide to approximate needs of staff and hours as it relates to major move items. I had two men and three hours, which based on previous reviews, I thought was too much. It ended up being four and a quarter hours. Also, there was an upcharge of $10/hr for the time the movers spend on floors higher than the first. Other than that, I believed the movers treated my belongings as if they were my own and I am completely satisfied.

They were a little slow but very careful with our stuff. The unloaders on the other end pointed out things that should or could have been covered with the extra blankets but we had no damage. Very polite and hardworking. I would recommend them and use them again.

Very good job for the money! They delivered my furniture to multiple locations which elliminated my need to move things to another house for a garage sale the following day...i am very greatful! They were not as fast as some big moving companies, but they got the job done well!

These guys were remarkable! A job well done very professionally with dedication to getting the job done in a timely manner. They showed up on time and work diligently until the job was complete. Even though they were hard at work moving furniture laughter filled the home helping to remove our mind from the bitter sweetness of the move. Thanks! They were good. They came to my place without any delay. They carefully carried everything. I have requested 2 hours but all job were done before 2 hours. Then, in remaining time, they helped me to assemble the bed without additional charge even though I didn't request this job originally. I want to ask them the job for next moving, too.

There were several things broken due to a marginal pack. For some reason, some lamps were taken out of boxes and placed in truck bare. They were broken up in the 2400 mile move. I lost some rare china due to a bad pack. The movers showed up 1 hour early and I was not ready for them. This caused me some trouble as I had to go get the rental truck while they moved things without me. Some of the things they moved I did not want moved. I should have had them wait in their car until I was ready at no cose to me. I lost control of this loading. Overall, they tried to be helpful and I appreciate that. 1 or 2 of the movers tended to talk too much and not work enough. I have used this crew twice before, so I was a little disappointed. One of the crew was rude to me. One of the crew was a young, very hard worker. They hooked up my trailer to the truck and I very much appreciate that; but it was done wrong (unsafely) and I had a problem with the load in Dallas. Jim White

The Holland personnel arrived on time and were very professional. The four man crew unloaded one U-Pack Trailer that was completely full, top to bottom and front to back, in 100+ degree weather in four hours. Two of the crew came back and unloaded a second trailer packed about 18 feet and moved around some furniture in the house in two hours. The crew didn't damage anything. Hopefully, we won't be moving anytime soon but, if we do, we will call Holland to do the loading and unloading.

Mr. Holland called right after I booked the job to get the details of time and place, then called the night before to confirm again, time and place. Bobby and Marcus, the 2 men Mr. Holland assigned to our job were on site 5 minutes before the designated time and were ready to work. Even though the temperature was rising, they didn't slow down one bit. Bobby and Marcus were very courteous and professional.

I felt guilty watching these guys work in 100-degree heat, carrying loads up and down three flights of stairs. The whole move took longer than expected as a result, but the additional fees I incurred were fair (and fully disclosed in advance). The crew was exceedingly friendly, and they figured out how to move my exercise machinery without removing the door from its hinges (as an earlier moving crew had done). On the whole, I was very pleased.

Specificly request them to remove paint and stain containers - charged extra for this service (enviormental) - they change date for service 3 times - then when they did come - refused to remove the paint - - - When speaking with James Holland it seems as if he did not remeber any converstation or direction towards moving the paint - anyway - the work that they did do was satisfacter but would suggest that furture customers have a complete written contract prior to service

We moved from Minnesota to Houston. Had driven 2 days almost straight through and were exhausted. We arrived at our new home, the movers were actually waiting for us! They worked diligently for 4 hours unloading our 26' truck and I sat with my feet in my new pool!

The 2 movers communicated very effectively when they were in transit. They were very punctual and it was very impressive how they loaded the truck. They worked very hard and did an amazing job. They worked quickly and were friendly, didn't waste time, and still professional. It was the first time I ever hired someone to move my belongings and they were entirely respectful.

We were SO pleased with the work Holland Real Estate Services did for us. We had a full moving truck to unload in Houston's July heat, and they did a superb job. They were courteous, and thoughtful (they stacked all of the boxes of our son's toys in an easy to get to spot in the garage!). When we move to more permanent digs in a couple months, we are calling them for help!

While we had a scheduled time, the moving company changed delivery time on us. They were real nice about changing the time of day I needed their services. I live in a two story apartment and they had some trouble getting things to the second story, but only because of the narrow hallway. Overall they were fast, on time, and polite.

I went with Holland Real Estate Services because there were so many positive reviews for them. Unfortunately, this turned out to be one of my worst moves ever. I went with the 4-man option thinking it would cut the move time in half. That was not the case. There were never more than two men working at any given time. A move that took 4 hours to complete in the past, took Holland 8 hours, doubling my original estimate. There was only one pace for these movers: SLOW!!! They scratched my newly finished hardwood floor down the entire hallway; there are gashes in the stairway walls, almost every piece of furniture they touched has damage to it. I would caution anyone considering this company to take heed and look elsewhere for your move. Do not let the number of positive reviews sway you. These men are not experienced or strong enough to handle antiques and heavy furniture.

They cleaned my apartment after I moved out of town so I never saw the results but the man I talked to seemed to be very nice and he kept me updated at regular intervals on how the work was going. I haven't heard anything negative from my apartment manager so I can assume they did a really good job.

Absolutely NOT! My phone interactions with Holland started off well; I was expecting high-quality service. They were on time, but the benefits stopped there. I paid for two men to move nothing but furniture,with an elevator, no boxes, nothing major--one man (hard-worker) got started when he entered my apartment...the other man was in the parking lot somewhere with James Holland killing time for 13 minutes before he ever even came inside. And HE NEVER CAME BACK IN! They had NO TOOLS. They asked us for tools, we had none so they disassembled my bed with a butter knife we had in the house. They promised padding, but said it was only for the inside the truck. When I asked them not to scratch my dining table they used my sheets, then threw them on the ground. When my husband told Mr. Holland (who was not working, just talking/supervising) and the man responsible for "truck loading" that they were going too slowly, the man told my husband "HEY MAN PEOPLE PAY BY THE HOUR EVERYDAY...STOP BEING CHEAP!" How unprofessional can you be??? My husband and I, along with a friend moved 60% of the stuff ourselves because of the super SLOW nature of the "helpers". They kept asking us to put our stuff down so they could move it instead--that would have taken forever. When we arrived to our destination my GLASS TABLE WAS SHATTERED. Mr. Holland and his mover told me they would give me a piece of used glass the mover had on a table at his house. WHAT??? When we refused this insane offer, Mr. Holland promised to reimburse for the damages...it's been almost two weeks--NOTHING. I've sent quotes (as requested), my husband and I have called and emailed him, and he has yet to address our damaged property. He always says he call us back: he doesn't. He sent an email that said "I have received your e-mail." That is all. If you value your time, money, and property try someone else.

Holland Real Estate Services were the most professional contract crew we have ever hired. They moved our property carefully, never bumping walls or handling anything roughly. They were contentious about how items were stacked, being mindful of boxes marked fragile, and packing the PODs with an engineering-like precision. In fact, we were able to return one POD unused. Near the end, we had some things that didn’t seem to fit. They took the time to unpack a portion and re-pack it to fit everything securely. I could not have been more pleased with their professionalism and skill. Most remarkable was that during the entire 4 hours, they were invariably courteous and, for lack of a better word, happy. They never passed me in the hall without an “excuse me sir.” They smiled and were friendly to my family. They would ask me questions anytime there was uncertainty to ensure they were following my preferences. They would communicate with each other about different items and how to best pack them as if they really took pride in their work and enjoyed their job. To see a crew appear so warm and friendly while working so efficiently and skillfully provided much needed assurance during an otherwise stressful time. I could not recommend them any more highly!

Holland Real Estate Services was personable, easy to talk to about the move, we scheduled a move of a 4 bdrm home with two men and 24' truck. The truck was a perfect size, the men packed the furniture and the boxes with care and very snug. They took alot of time to ensure the packing was tight and took full advantage of any space. The movers were very courteous and easy to talk too. Holland has one of the most competitive price schedules on the market. If I had a critique it would be that the movers were a tad slower than expected and this added a full hour to the move. When your charged by the hour this was not budgeted. However the men did work very hard in the hot sun without a single complaint. I would recommend Holland's Services for future customers.

Leroy and Bobby did my move and were quite professional, on time (7:50 AM on a Saturday) and clearly very good at moving, and packing a truck. I would happily use these guys again. They were careful, methodical, and worked with unrelenting tenacity through 100 degree heat without ever slowing down. Our entire house is hardwood floors except for the bathrooms, and I cannot find a single scratch on the floors.

They were very nice guys but they showed up 2 hours later than scheduled (they did keep calling with updated times) but by the time they got here and loaded up it was too late to go to our warehouse because it closes at nine pm. They also moved very slow ( no hussling). I'm guessing they were tired because they had moved all day.

The moving help that Holland brought to bear on my move was fantastic. I had a very full house and not enough truck...but they worked magic fitting the majority of it in 1 truck...I was shocked. On top of that, they were smiling and easy to talk to the entire time. Very efficient and hard working....I would not hesitate to hire them again.

I can hardly express what a great experience it was having these guys load our 26" truck for us. My 2 friends (1 who used to be a mover) said they've never seen such an expert job. I'd have to agree. I had 3 movers come over (plus James Holland), and they moved our house very quickly, very carefully, and very precisely. Nothing was damaged (items or house), and our 2300 SF house was loaded in about 2.5 hours. In fact, all my friends who helped me unload in our new city were impressed as well with how secure everything was. I chose Holland because of good ratings and a good price. Oh, and our Penske truck was having engine troubles briefly while they were packing. About halfway to my destination, Mr. Holland called me to make sure it was running ok. He had nothing to do with the truck, but called to check on me anyway. Highly recommended!

Mr. Holland was very nice as were his helpers. They arrived on time and completed the work in the time agreed. They did a satisfactory job except for damaging the refrigerator and an armoire. I knew I wasn't hiring professional movers but this was disappointing. The cost of repairing the armoire was $130.00 and the damage to the refrigerator can't be repaired.

Great group of guys! Moved our furniture with care, packed the UHaul truck nicely so things would not break, worked quickly, and in 100 degree weather. They even moved an 800 lb gun safe with "Smiles on their Faces"! Thanks again! God Bless

Mr. Holland and his crew did a fantastic job. His crew arrived promptly at 8am, just as scheduled. He had a separate crew for packing and a different crew for loading and the heavy lifting. Both crews did a great job. At the end of the move Mr. Holland gave me written detailed accounting of all the charges broken down into 15 minute increments. I was very impressed by Mr. Holland's openness and transparency with the charges. There are a lot of slimeballs in the moving industry, but Mr. Holland is NOT one of them. So here's the summary: would I hire him again? Absolutely! Thank you, Mr. Holland!

The helpers were professional, courteous, respectful young men, as well as efficient. The were very careful with our furnishings and loading the POD. Bobby and Mingo had the job done in half the time I planned and would hire them again in a heartbeat.

James and the guys did a great job! They were ON TIME!!! even after I had to move my appointment back 2 hours because the other company that loaded me showed up 3 hours late.
