I'll just describe the experience, let you make your evaluation: had a last minute move request, which was accepted and discussed with the general manager that day, to begin the next morning at 8:30 ("maybe 9"). No show, no phone call at nine; I began the move myself. I called at 9:30, left a message, text messaged at 9:50, and called again at 10:30. Nothing. Dug out the alternate number, who was co-owner and he was very responsive and did get a team there by noon, which was when I was expecting to be done. A hospitalization of one of the movers the previous night was explained. Not to sound heartless, but there were several people involved with an absolute lack of communication that anything was amiss to the customer. The emergency movers that came were very courteous, professional, and efficient, although they did not have a dolly (understandable given the circumstances, but i did have to go to uhaul myself to get one right then). J&S Moving Services were wonderfully helpful for our move. We drove to TN from Boston, MA and got stuck in a snow storm that affected the eastern seaboard. Long story short, I was able to contact Shane and let him know that our original move-in date would have to be postponed for an undetermined amount of time. Shane was so understanding, and accommodated our unique situation. We were able to reschedule and complete our move without a hitch. The two men we hired were great - they arrived on time, friendly and ready to work. The process was a surprisingly smooth one. I would absolutely recommend J&S Moving Services and would certainly use them again in the future.

These guys are awesome! My moving labor help flaked out on me at the last minute and so I had to find someone to help me unload my truck.. The truck could only be pulled half way up my drive (ABF Trucks don't use them). So, all the stuff had to be carried up the hill the rest of the way to my house. The guys did this and even told me it was not the worst job or experience they had ever had (which I think was just to make me feel better). Plus they did it in right around 5 hours. It would have taken me days if I ever finished. They were friendly and hard, hard working. I would definitely use them again and have family and friends use them.

Shane and Dave were great. We had to give an approximate time of arrival and they stayed in touch with me until we arrived at the apartment and arrival shortly after us. They unloaded all furniture / household goods and took care of everything they touched. Great job!! Thanks!!
