Rent The Help provides homeowners and businesses with a reliable and professional solution to their moving labor needs. Founded in the fall of 2011, Rent The Help has assisted over 6,500 customers in the Richmond, VA area. Our core customer needs extra muscle for 2-4 hours. Whether you need help moving a few pieces of furniture around the house, or loading a moving truck, Rent The Help can supply the extra muscle to complete your project. Our people are what make Rent The Help special. Our team is made up of college students, graduate students, firefighters, and other professionals seeking a part time opportunity that offers a strong culture and a flexible work environment.

Hank and Marcus were prompt, friendly, and incredibly courteous from the outset. They listed to my tentative plan and agreed to offer suggestions as needed. We were done we had accomplished the loading, unloading, and arrangement in the storage unit (including a few items I hadn't thought we would get to) on time. They worked hard, were friendly and respectful of my property, even when we were comfortable enough to start joking around together. I have never used a service like this before-will.definitely use them over family members again! Can't recommend highly enough.

My experience with RENT THE HELP was exceptional! Comunication was easy & clear. Everyone I delt with was professional, knowledgable & most helpful! The young men who helped move our furniture, arrived on time, listened & followed my specific instructions, worked hard & fast, very carefully moved & packed our PODS box & did not damage our home or any of the furniture. I hired Rent the Help for a local move from one house to another house. The two workers who helped, Matt F and Will H., were on-time, worked extremely fast and hard and were very pleasant. They didn't stop for a minute until everything was finished and they were very courteous and respectful. I would highly recommend them and will definitely use them again if I need to ever move again. What can a customer expect after booking with you?
Someone from our office will reach out within a few hours of receiving your request. If you happen to reserve Rent The Help at night, or on the weekend, someone from our office will give you a call on the next business day.
What can a customer expect on moving day if they hire you?
Once your order is confirmed, you will begin to receive messages from our automated system. Prior to your move you will receive an email and text message with a link to confirm your appointment. Once you click confirm you will see pictures of your crew. On moving day our team will arrive in RTH shirts (either blue, green, or gold).
How should a customer prepare for moving day?
Since customers are paying for our services on a per hour basis, we recommend being prepared when our team arrives. Upon booking you will receive moving tips that will help you prepare for your move date. The more prepared our customers are, the more efficient our team will be as they load/unload your moving truck.
What types of moves have you handled?
Rent The Help's primary focus is providing an affordable and professional solution to customers who have small moving jobs. While we can handle large jobs, our primary focus are jobs in the 2-4 hour range. Small loads, unloads, or furniture moves.
What's your favorite part about being a mover?
Our guys love meeting new people and helping them navigate an extremely stressful time. Every day is a new adventure and we embrace that.
What training do you provide your crew members?
Every team member goes through hands-on training that requires staff to pass their training program prior to being staffed on a job. We have 3 different tiers of team members and schedule them based on the type of move/service the customer requests.
