Let's start by stating that I use Hire-a-helper frequently. I run a moving company and often do long-distance moves, and I use hire-a-helper on the unload end. Out of the 50 or so times I've used this service Allsafe was hands-down the worst service I have ever used. 1. Never called. I had to call them after a month-and-a-half because the move was coming up. Of course the voicemail was full so I couldn't leave a message. Texted and emailed, and still heard nothing. Finally got through before I was about to line someone else up (Man, I wish that had happened). So, we were set up for 9am (I selected 8am-9am start time) and all was good. The morning of the move, I get a call saying they need to take care of someone before me and it'll be 10-11 before they can get there. Then a text that says 11-12, then a statement that a 2nd crew was lined up and they would be there "shortly". That was 9:35. After more calls that went unreturned and me in a increasingly desperate situation my "crew" arrives at 12:30, 3 hours late, and they are reeking of weed (I live in Colorado. I smell enough of it there). The guys are nice enough but it takes them 15 minutes before they move the first item. as things (barely) progress I am doing 3-4 trips for every trip they are doing because they are standing around in the truck discussing what to move and shifting things around repeatedly. I get a call from the company to check in and I voice my displeasure. They say they'll send another crew for support. Ok. I'm not loving what has preceeded but I appreciate a company that tries to rectify a poor situation. The second crew shows up charges me $75 for "Heavy" pieces (which were not heavier than the 300 pound level stated on HAH for "heavy", nor would they give me the chance to empty the items we put in the piece to maximize what we packed in the truck. Total BS and rip-off there. The one guy is arguing with me the whole time... actually, I can't say arguing because I couldn't say anything. He would just talk over me, louder than me, until it became pointless to talk. They ripped the top of off a dresser because they tried to pick it up from that top to move it instead of placing it the way you are supposed to if you know how to move. They ran a chair into the door. They left a bag of clothes in the truck and covered it with blankets rather than make one more trip. Charged me an extra hour even though they were only there for .5 hours extra. Gathered around the back of the truck talking and smoking towards the end while there were still boxes to carry (yeah, I had to get through the smoky crowd to get to the boxes. Someone had to finish the move). They caused a huge amount of stress for myself and the client I was moving for. This is the second time I have moved for her and she spoke about how good my guys (in Colorado) were and how bad these guys (in New Orleans) were. I thought at first maybe it was just the B-team crew I got. But when the second crew showed up and was also pretty awful, in different ways, I am taking it to be the company. No communication, unprofessional, unprepared, and stoned. That's what you can expect. Oh, and expect they will create reasons to charge you extra. Luckily I have generally had good experiences with the companies I have gotten on Hire-a-helper, and I'll continue to use the service, but will likely rely increasingly on Yelp. I look forward to the companies reply where they try to justify the inexcusable (lack of) service and turn around the issues on myself or my client (always a sign of professionalism)

We had a container full of furniture to empty. The movers ran a bit late because of a tire blowout, but they called to let us know when we should expect them. Everett and Frank did a fantastic job of getting everything out of the container and moving things to the appropriate place in the house. They took great care in bringing things in, and did an impressive job with some of the larger unwieldy and heavy things. They wasted no time in getting things moved in. A great job!

These guys hustled and were nice--no more to say.

They packed up at 945 when the job ended at 10. They left 24 boxes unpacked and I had to repackage the pod myself to fix it. I was able to repackage the pod and fit all the boxes without loosing any. Very disappointed they seemed very nice just not great at packing. They also showed up at 8 for a 7 start time. Don't list the 7 am start time if you cannot be there at that time.

Customer should prepare there self by having items boxes properly taped an secure. Next making sure you have furniture blankets to protect valuable furniture an etc. Next have priority items ready to be placed first to avoid items be left behind.
