at first everything was ok until i found out they as i disclosed to them on the phone with the movers that he would not be driving and needed him to do so as he agreed.he said when he got there he did have anyone drive and that i would have to fill up his own personal car to get him to the job site. i found that to be bs. if …read moreim paying u 750.00 why can u not fill up ur own tank. next i saw my property break. the boss of the job said he would talk care of it and replace it but never did. so when we got to the drop off location i noticed my brand new marble kitchen table had a few chips in it, my other lamp that goes in my sons room was then found to have two dents in it, my daughters dresser had a huge hole ripped out of the back of it. after all was said and done with the job i thought still he would deduct something from the total for all of the damage he and his crew had made and never did. he pulled my boyfriend aside and pushed for the payment with out talking to me and i was the customer. he should have talked to me. and if he did he would of found out that i spoke to hireahelper.com and was informed to try to make some kind of arrangement as far as the broken items if not then do not release the money to them and that exactly what i would of done but like i said he had pushed my boyfriend to pay before the job was even done. just so it is clear i am beyond pissed with there service and would never hire them again and hope no one ever does. NEVER EVER HIRE THESE PEOPLE THEY WILL DESTROY YOUR BELONGING!!!!!!!!!!!

While I feel the owner is a nice guy and had good intentions, their overall job service was sub par. They were a half hour late to the job, and with 4 guys and 4 hours, they still went 1.5 hours over, and nothing was put where it was supposed to be due to the fact that they took so much time loading the truck at place A there wa…read mores no time left at place B, which is extremely inconvenient since I am pregnant and my husband just had surgery. It was also my understanding that we wouldn't be charged the time it took to travel, and when the movers were held up at the gate to the military installation for 40 minutes, that effected job progress, even though I told them to be prepared because they would be searched and need IDs and insurance. They also spent 15 minutes trying to back our moving truck up our driveway which ultimately failed. They tried for a VERY long time to get our sectional up to the living room and failed, and two of my husband's coworkers came after work today and successully got it up the stairs within 10 minutes. I think better delegation by their leadership and less "lollygagging" would have saved us some money and aggravation. I also don't appreciate having to clean up coffee cups and soda cans from people that I paid to move our things. I feel they were very overpriced for their service.

Every1 knows how this works. I start the clock when I arrive and end it when I leave. To think I would sit at an army gate for a half hour wile paper work is filled out and not get paid is not fair. I had all paperwork ready. They just took their sweet time checking it. You didn't mention your mile long uphill driveway either. That's y it went over time. No other reason. The only reason it got done so quick is because we killed ourselves. Other wise it woulda took longer.

The "Are We There Yet Movers" damaged a number of pieces of furniture due to the way that they loaded the moving van. For example, they stacked a couch and a love seat on top of another couch, breaking the one on the bottom. Other furniture was broken as well, including an antique round table and a ceder chest. Even though we …read morerented many blankets to cover the furniture, they only used about half of them, leaving some of the furniture exposed to other objects, thus many pieces were scratched and nicked. We have photos documenting everything written above. They told us they would not be able to finish the job in the four hours we hired them for and that it would cost time and a half for them to stay beyond the initial 4 hours. We later found out that this was not true. We would have made another decision, had we known the right price. They left a half hour before the agreed-upon time, then misrepresented their actions to HireAHelper.com. It took two men an additional 3 hours to load up the van after they left. We would have gladly paid $60 an hour for this service, had we been given the correct pricing information. They also double charged us for their services and it took us days to get our account credited with the overcharged amount. We would not recommend them under any circumstances.

This is all a lie. The customer lied about what they had. Lied about the time they needed. We did not want to stay because of the custOmer being rude to me and my men. I told them we needed furniture pads. They had NONE. Please if u read this read ALL of my reviews. All people say is how good I packed there truck. No all of a sudden I do a bad job? Not true.

The only reasion for this is because I would not move a full freezer on a dirt path next to a cliff. Un safe and un nessary. We agreed he would empty it to. Bad experience all around but we still got the job done expertly. All that matters is honest hard work. He evean agreed he recieved just that.

Do NOT hire these guys. Two days before my move I got a cancellation notice. No reason, no call, NOTHING! After I contacted them 2 weeks prior and all was on schedule. Unbelievable!!!!

They collected close to 40 bags of leaves and a lot of tree branches, twigs from sometimes very hard-to-reach spots on a sloped site full of trees and shrubs. The building is very narrow and the staircases are very steep so they took extra care of more fragile items. They then did an excellent job of securing the items in the truck for a long 7 hour drive. The two gentleman from Are We There Yet Movers were 1 1/2 hour late due to traffic. This didn't affect me because I wasn't on any time constraint. At first they didn't think we had enough room in the moving truck to fit all of our belongings. In the end, they were able to fit everything with a large amount of space left over.…read more The problem was that they packed the truck too tightly and didn't pay attention to fragile boxes. They were efficient, but their speed compromised the integrity of our belongings. We used a different moving company to unload the truck (who were incredible) and they pointed out from the beginning that the truck was packed too tightly. We had all glassware and ceramic belongings broken (pyrex, stemware, dishes, glassware, bakeware, vases, etc). Additionally, two pieces of my living room set, which had just been refinished two days prior, now have two large dents, where paint is chipped off and a large scratch. Because there was extra room in the truck, the movers had a concern that things would shift. Our brand new $1000 mattress was used as a barrier up against our belongings, but they wedged it in a small space and bent in the shape of a U. Now, the mattress, which has never been slept on, has a permanent crease and dent in the center. I expressed to the gentleman that I didn't feel comfortable with it positioned that way, but they reassured me. I have never used movers before and trusted them to do their job correctly. Looking back, my gut instinct would have taken me farther. I admit that I can be a little meticulous when it comes to our personal belongings, but I was rather dissappointed. Additionally, they had complained numerous times that this was their third job of the day. While I can be sympathetic to the fact that they are tired, my belongings should not have been compromised. I also didn't approve of the movers expressing that they accept tips twice. I properly reward where I find suitable (which I feel I tipped them far too high considering the outcome), but I am turned off by begging. Also when I spoke with the gentleman several days earlier, he tried to convince me to cancel HireAHelper.com and work with him directly. I understand that business is tough, but I feel that this was very unprofessional and initially raised a red flag. Despite all of the negative, they were very polite and pleasant. I'm not sure if I just became a victim of the system or if it was because they truly had a long day. Either way, I now know how moving can be a beast. Good luck to all and choose wisely.

The problem was she didn't have moving blankets or straps. I warned her of the possibility of something happening. But she didn't want to buy blankets or tie downs. That is what happens when u don't spend a little money I'm sorry that happened but if you don't tie down a load it will shift. And I told her that. She ignored me so it happened. I even told her I would help pay 4 the tie downs. Abe way I'm sorry she was mat pleased but not taking my professional advice is not smart
