Unfortunately, we were not satisfied with our moving experience with Hire A Helper at all. The movers were very careless and damaged many parts of our walls while moving our furniture. It was a rainy and muddy day so I asked them to please remove their shoes or put on some booties but the main guy refused and prevented the others from doing so as well. In addition to that, our furniture was also damaged to the point that we could not use it anymore so the movers took it with them.

Totes on demand was absolutely great for my move. We moved a two bedroom townhouse to a new place not far away. We didn't have an abundance of large items, but it was still worth it to have a team do the heavy lifting for us. They called me about an hour before arriving to say they were running about twenty minutes late. I considered that an on time arrival for something like this, plus it gave me a few minutes to scramble about with more packing.
They arrived and immediately got to work, taking great care to wrap everything cautiously. Nothing was even scratched during the move. All four guys were incredibly polite and friendly. They finished early and never at all seemed like they were trying to drag things out to get more hours of pay.
I've done a lot of moves in my life, across town, across the country, and across oceans, and as far as I'm concerned it's the worst thing ever. These guys made it as easy and stress free as possible. Money well spent. I hope I never have to move again, but if life throws me a curve ball, I will be calling this team to move me to the next place.

What can a customer expect after booking with you?
First we call to set up the move, ask for more info about what items we are moving. We like to do a walk thru and set a plan for your move (all moves are different)if using Pack-rat or Pods. Make sure if we're providing labor only to have plenty of clear wrap, tape, & blankets for us to secure your items professionally.
What can a customer expect on moving day if they hire you?
Once we leave the office we text you a link to a real time gps map, showing our exact arrival time. Once there we always walk Thur the home to get a picture of how we're going to load truck , make sure Anything not going is in a room to itself. We are the oldest company on here to offer labor only & full service (so we know a thing or two about moving).
How should a customer prepare for moving day?
Be prepared, try and get the truck the might before (if labor only service), in busy times I've seen so many people go to get the truck that morning and not have one, have all boxes taped,do not over load boxes going up any stairs
What types of moves have you handled?
We have handled some huge moves like Jay Williams (Carolina Panthers) Terry Clark (Country music legend) to name a few. We also help with small moves (just move few item), deliveries, In-House, Office relocations, junk removal.
What's your favorite part about being a mover?
Meeting people. We love it! Started working as officer after college and people were happy to see me show up.
What training do you provide your crew members?
New crew members work under me for few months ... If they make it! Even if they moved 100 times or work for a van line ( we have no reviews of things broken and that's from me with years of experience moving. We take pride in what we do & plan to keep going for generations to come.
