The movers showed up (one male & one female). Initially seemed ok they were able to handle furniture etc without a problem. I have a 2 bedroom 975 sq ft apartment. They moved very slow, the one kept taking smoke breaks, numerous bathroom breaks, they took a break together. (they get paid by the hour). Neighbors saw them in the pod trailer standing doing nothing. At the end a 2-3 hour move (per the website estimate) took 5 1/2 hours. The website estimates a large house or castle to take 4-6 hours. I hardly live in a castle! Also at the beginning of loading the pod, the guy said if everything doesn't fit, I can drive it to Fl for you. I took that as he was looking to make extra money. With that said, they packed the pod with all the boxes first?? They also put my sofa cushions on early. Towards the end, they went to put sofa in the pod & it didn't fit. They offered to unload the pod & start again but would continue to charge me by the hour. Are they kidding?? So now I'm out a sofa along with other items that didn't fit. In their defense, I knew there would be issues trying to fit everything, however, I could have put boxes in my car. A sofa would obviously never fit. Why would you pack boxes first & not big furniture items? Next they were done moving everything to pod, I paid there requested money to avoid conflict there. After they left I went to the pod & opened the door. A metal bistro table fell out at me. My neighbor came out to help me get that back in & the door to the pod blew shut hitting me in head & back of my leg. Had the table not fallen out of pod (because it was not packed properly), I would not have gotten injured. I called Hire A Helper & filed a claim. They did agree to reimburse me for 2 1/2 hours labor, but what about my sofa that did not fit because they don't know how to properly load a pod? I can't even sell it to someone because they put the cushions on first. I would never use them again or recommend them to anyone!

We couldn't believe how much stuff Jeff was able to pack into our pod. He was able to visualize where the particular item would go and his crew were very careful to finesse them in. They were there on time, took no breaks and worked very hard. It was a great experience. We will never use a moving company again. We won't use any one else again.

They showed up on time, asked what it was I wanted them to do, and they went to work. They did a good job, and I didn't have to follow them around; they were responsible workers. By then end of the time I needed them, the house was emptied of things I wanted out. They were respectful of my home and my people who were there. I would hire them again.
