Choosing this company was one of the worst decisions I have ever made. The owner, David Mendenhall, does not do what he has promised in his company "description" on this site. I never received a call from him. I called him THREE times. The first time I called, he said he would call me back, because he was busy, and he did not. The second call, I left a voicemail and did not get a return call. The third call, he again tried to say he would call me back because he was busy but I said "no". I asked him at that time if the movers would come prepared with plastic wrap (to protect my furniture) and tools. He assured me that, yes, they would come prepared and that I would be "well taken care of". The day of my move, the laborers called to ask if they could arrive early (11am. I scheduled them to arrive between 12p and 1p.). I explained that I was not ready for them and asked that they arrive at the originally set time that I requested. They arrived early anyway and showed up with their hands in their pockets. I asked if they brought tools and plastic wrap. They said, "No. Our boss told us this was a two hour "hand job"." Nice. I was not happy. I went to great lengths to ensure they would come prepared. One of the men called David Mendenhall to ask about the mix-up. After the call, he informed me that he was in trouble and was "yelled at" for not being prepared. He then commented aloud that he was already looking for another job. I then phoned David Mendenhall. He said the laborers "should have come prepared". He told me that they were instructed to go back to their base location and get tools and plastic wrap. Their location was more than an hour away from where I was. I was on a time schedule and needed to proceed with the loading of the truck that I rented (by this time it was after 12p and we needed to get going). I then got a call from a woman in their office. She confirmed they were supposed to come back and get the items needed. I explained I did not have time for them to do this. I suggested they drive to the Home Depot, close to my apartment, and buy plastic wrap and they could be reimbursed by the company. She refused that as a viable option. I told these guys that I had blankets, rugs, sheets - plenty of material to protect my furniture and TVs. I said we would work together and use what I had to get the job done. FOUR hours later, the 24' truck had been packed within 12" of the door. It was not packed floor to ceiling and I still had boxes and other items to load. I do not move every day. It is not my job to know how to properly pack a truck - precisely why I hired them! I did not realize the magnitude of their poor packing job until, after they left (it was Friday and they had plans so they had to go) when I attempted to load the remaining items myself (I am a single mom. Three flights of stairs. It was getting dark.). It was impossible. I was due to leave town that evening around 6pm and drive 5 hours to my new home. That did not happen. I could not keep my deadline. The next morning, I phoned the owner, David Mendenhall, to give him an opportunity to make things right. Perhaps send a couple men out to rearrange things and finish helping me properly. His response was unacceptable and completely unprofessional. He told me he was having a "bad day". I let him know that I, too, was having a bad day and bad experience overall with HIS company. He then proceeded to yell every profane word ever spoken into the phone at me. Calling me a *****. Saying "F**K YOU" to me. I hung up on him.
I apologize for leaving such a long, detailed review. It is very important to me that this never happens to anyone ever again. This man and his company made my out-of-state move a complete nightmare. I ended up hiring two other people that morning to come out, unpack and then repack the truck. They could not believe the inept job that was done by David Mendenhall's men. These two wonderful, knowledgeable people repacked my truck with the items originally packed with 10' to spare for the rest of my items that needed packed. They packed those items also and did it in just two hours. I urge you to not use this company. As I said, it was a nightmare.
Also, when I got to my destination and started seeing my furniture - they damaged almost everything in some way. Even after I provided them with blankets, sheets and rugs for protection. Horrible.

The two guys did a great job unloading my truck and unloaded extremely fast. They got my 16 foot truck unloaded in about 1 hour 15 minutes into my second floor apartment. I totally didn't expect them to work that fast and they even helped me put a few things back together. I would definitely use their service again if I moved to a different location in Jacksonville.

Big Guy rescued us when another service did not accurately pack our PackRat Pods. They came promptly, unloaded a 16' and an 8' pod. They then reloaded them appropriately all within an hour and 20 minutes. They were respectful of our belongings and I would definitely use them again.

We used this service 2X in 2 weeks. We got different guys the 2nd time even though we requested the 1st 2 guys because they were so good. Surprisingly, the next 2 guys were great! All of them worked so hard at a very fast pace and were very respectful in every way!!!! Very pleased with the service & would definitely recommend.

The two helpers that helped us load our storage pod were on-time, hard-working, and totally professional. They knew what they were doing and loaded our furniture in an amazingly short period of time. I would hire this company every time I moved!

The men you sent, Joe and Jason, were excellent ! They knew what they were doing, planned well and were courteous and carefull. I was very impressed with the men's efficiency and manner. Could not have been any better pleased. I would like to have both of them back to unload this week at the new location on the 6th of june which has been scheduled with you.
