Why should you consider Cross Town Movers? *Price Price Price -- With Us you save money-- All you do is rent the Truck and we provide you with the labor. * We don't charge for travel (If we are not moving your furniture , we are not paid) *We can provide 1-6 Movers *We can Load *We can unload I will take the up most care when loading/unloading your items. I ask all my clients to get extra blankets when renting the uhaul. This way all gaps can be filled which means no loose items while in transport. -Buy the same size boxes from Uhual. This makes loading a lot smoother. Uhaul will buy back any unused boxes. -Don’t take time for granted. It usually takes longer than you think it will. -Don’t get a truck/van that’s too small. Making more than one trip wastes valuable time. -Have as much packed as possible. Packing takes time and time is at a premium. -Distribute heavier items, such as books, into several boxes. -Move as much as possible into the room that’s closest to the front or back door. -Remember to pace yourself–you’ll need to have energy left for the end of the move! -If you’re going to help with the move, don’t wear sandals or open-toed shoes! -Don’t forget to buy plastic mattress covers (get 2) and rent blankets. -Stay hydrated! Drink plenty of Gatorade or water. Don’t move on an empty stomach! -Hire experienced people to do your move. Do you really want “help” from an inexperienced person? -Beware of people who claim they can move your specialized, expensive items, like pianos, cheaply. -Be extremely careful when moving your Plasma/LCD TVs. Make sure your movers know how to handle them so they won’t need expensive recalibrating. -If you need to tie down your items, use real rope - not clothesline or plastic/nylon.
