They did a terric job for us. They arrived about 15 minutes early and after introductions, went right to work. We had them unload a POD and move quite a few very large pieces of furniture up to the second floor of our house. They had the POD emptied and all furniture in place within 45 minutes. We are very happy with the service we received and would definitely use them again if the need arises.

I hired EK Business Solutions to load a PODS unit. I live in Chicago and I had to find someone last minute to move furniture, appliances, boxes, etc. out of a relatives house in Bernville, PA. Not knowing anyone from that area I found EK Business Solutions on Hire A Helper website. I looked over all the reviews and took a chance. Thank God I did! They were a FANTASTIC. They showed up friendly, with the proper equipment (dolly and tools) and ready to work. My PODS unit was running late and they graciously worked over the 2 hours I hired them for to help me finish the job. I'm still amazed at how fabulous they packed everything in the PODS. I would hire them again in a heartbeat (if I lived in the area) and I would recommend them to anyone who needs a helping hand.

The two workers were courteous and hard working. I got a call and was asked if the workers could start at 1:30 PM instead of the morning. I asked if they could work for more than two hours. The person on the phone said yes, they can work until 10 at night. However, when they arrived, they told me they could only work two hours; they had another job after ours.
Probably my misunderstanding, but I was lead to believe they could stay longer. If I knew that time had to be agreed upon up front, I would have contracted for it. I was counting on the job to be completed by the two workers, and it was far from done. Very disappointing. I checked with the service I’m using at my destination, and they assured me they workers would stay until the work was done, they don’t have jobs around ours that same day.

You knew you only had the 2 hours that you booked for because we were very busy that day. You told us you only had about 10 big pieces that you needed help with and that would be all. Until we got there and you changed your mind and wanted us to load the whole house for you but you were not packed or ready to go. Don't blame us for your lack of communication for telling us one thing then totally changing it on the day of the move. We can't assume you will need more time.

You have to special request shrink wrap which you did not do. The movers had blankets, tools, tie downs, dollies, furniture carts not sure what more you want. You had everything taken apart already when we got there and 2 family members putting furniture back together when we unloaded it so what did we need the tools for in the first place? We did not pack your items so why would we need to bring tape. No problems on your move and nothing was damaged so not sure what all the complaints are about

My move was wonderfully orchestrated by Emily, Kelly & Josh. They are timely and very professional. I moved a houseful of large furniture to a storage unit. I needed to complete my move quickly and much help was needed with packing. The entire crew worked efficiently and quickly to safely move my belongings. They were great! We were very pleased with our experience with EK Business Solutions. From what I understand, they are contractors who perform many services, but we hired them for a move. Josh and Jason came early - they were supposed to come at 10:00 but were there by 9:30. They were pleasant, professional and patient the entire time, which couldn't have been easy under the circumstances. The place we were moving out of was an old building that had small doorways and odd angles. They had to remove doors from their hinges to get the appliances out and remove ceiling tiles to get the couch out. They even had to break the queen-sized box springs to get them out of the apt. Of course, we told them to break the box springs - they tried to get them out of the apt. in one piece, but it wasn't going to happen. They put the doors and ceiling tiles back when they were done. They did their best to get done within the time period that they quoted us, but it didn't work out because of all the extra time and care they took to get things out without destroying anything in the process. They took furniture apart and put it back together when they got it on the truck. Overall, they were very helpful and we've already asked them to help us with the next move (this one is only temporary). I would recommend EK Business Solutions to friends and family. Thanks, guys for handling such a tough job with a pleasant attitude.

Everything was okay with the move. The only complaint that I had is that one of the gentlemen that was sent to help unpack was not a regular employee and I believe a son in law that was helping out for the day. I understand it was a snow a few days prior so I understand being short staffed.
I was just slightly disappointed that my dresser was scratched up due to drawers not being secured down and it constantly being pushed again the brick wall.
Overall they were polite and helpful, I would have just preferred to have two professional movers helping me with my furniture. I have quality items and now one is all banged up...

We cotacted Hire a Helper for a move from WI to PA. The WI movers loaded the truck in less
than 3 hours and were very professional and did not have to be supervised (they were tipped well
..) however on the Philly end it took 4 hours to unload the truck which required constant supervision and direction, as everything was color coded and labeled to make it as easy as possible on the Pjilly end. I must say I found the PA end to be VERY unprofessional done by untrained kids(multiple cell phone calls my employees...) They were tipped before the job was completed . Beinh self employed myself, a tip si always a good motivator and always good to do before a job is completed...howver this was not thje case..as the job took 4 hours (which should be the EASYPART of the move) and costing me an addrtional $90 in a cash payment to Kevin ? With that being said...the directions that ahd to be done at my time and expense should be reimbursed to me to compemnsate for their incompetance. Not to be condescending...this is not rocket sceince but how do you spell direction??? One of your employees placed a garden rake in the shower on the 2nd floor...any questions? I am sure you will agree this was a perfect example of how they wasted time and rang up the bill which I do not feel is fair and I should be dually compensated. A friend came to help me and had to tell them on em ore than one occassion to get off their cell phones. PS> My back is killing me for helping them lift and armoire due to their incompetance., Mistakes happen but the key is rectifying them. I moved out of state from the philadelphia area. I hired two movers to load my truck. The movers were on time, very courteous and professional. They were very careful while loading the truck. These guys are great helpers- they helped me pack and unpack from a move in the past, and this time they moved furniture and weeded flower beds that were a disaster and now look great. They applied mulch for me and even were able to work around my sprinkler system. They are polite, hard working, and genuinely seem to care that they have done a good job, which is rare these days. I would reccommend them to anyone and plan to hire them again in the future.

The helpers from EK Business Solutions have done a greate job on helping me with my spring cleaning/lanscaping project. I have a sizable front and back yard on a slope. There've accumulated lots of leaves in various places, a lot of places are exposed with no mulch or other cover. I hired EK for 2 days. The have helped me shovel approximated 9 tones of decorative stones over an area of about 600 square feet. They have also spread mulch over a much bigger area and clean up and pick leaves from hard-to-reach places on a slope. and they have bagged about 60 bags of leaves in the end. They didn't take much break and focus on the work all the time. It was a tough job considering the hot weather, the size of the area, the slope, and the volume, but they delivered very nicely, to my satisfaction. I definitely would book them for my next project.

My overall rating for them is: good, but could be better.
The EK Business Solutions personnel showed up on time on target. They worked carefully as recommended by me. However, I think if they can "go an extra mile" to finish the moving work on the same day for me, I would give these young guys a lot better rating.

The movers were courteous and arrived on time However, I didn't think they packed the truck very well. My motorcycle wasn't secure on the truck and all the box were scattered everywhere. When i got to my destination we found the motorcyle layed over, gas spilled everywhere and the most frustrating thing is my kick stand was broken into pieces. If they didn't know how to secure the motorcycle properly for a 5 hours trip with a lot of potential bumps they should have told me I would have gotten someone else. Futhermore, when I called to explain what happened they took no blame what-so-ever. They said it wasn't their responsibility once the truck was loaded and gone. Very frusting for a company that says their reliable and insured. At least they could have should concern!

We apologize for the unfortunate mishap. The customer watched her motorcycle get loaded and strapped down and voiced no concerns at the time of loading. Customer was informed that the way her truck was loaded was unsafe and it was unsafe to have a motorcycle in the back of a truck. Kickstand breaking means driver was driving way to fast and the truck was bouncing all around. It could have broke during unloading,there is no proof on how it broke so a insurance company will not take a claim for it
