I was so grateful for my two movers from EML this week, who loaded my 8x7x8' POD in NYC for two hours in the morning of the first day of a heat wave. I know nothing about loading trucks but had been advised by an experienced friend to have tie-down ratchets and rope to keep everything secure in the container, and the workers from EML knew exactly how to use the ratchets and tie the knots in the ropes. Their work looked amazing. And they managed to include my sectional couch, which I truly didn't think would fit. But they stacked and packed it like a 3-D Tetris game. I was only sorry they couldn't give me an extra hour, as they were scheduled for another job. But that was on me, for not having prepped my move as well as I could have. They had even worked previously with the PODS truck driver several times before. The careful work and heavy lifting and moving Efficient Moving Labor did, eased the majority of my worries and stress from that day..
P.S. The ratchets I got were "Cartman 1" x 15' Ratchet Tie Down up to 1500lbs 6pk in Carry Bag, Cargo Straps" on Amazon, The 1/4-inch rope I got was "PerkHomy 90 ft 1/4 inch (7mm) Nylon Poly Rope" also on Amazon.

I couldn’t be more pleased! They arrived on time! All of the men were personable and super efficient. They packed the Pod and tied everything down with ratchet straps, I provided. It didn’t even take them two hours to complete the job.
I would use this company again, and I highly recommend them!

Our packer/movers were 15 min early and started on time. We had attempted to pack our POD ourselves. It just didn't look right. So we hired professional packers. They unpacked 1/2 the POD that we had done and re-packed the back end to the ceiling. The men then added additional boxes and household items plus: (2) 96 inch sofas, (1) 109 inch dining room table that had a massive base with (12) dining chairs, and office desk with chair. They packed the PODS tightly so nothing moved and they tied it all in with some ratchets sets we had on hand. We are confident our stuff will arrive in better shape than if we packed it ourselves. We highly recommend Hire A Helper. We have 2 more PODS and are scheduling them to come back.

They were wonderful. On time, worked hard had my 16’ foot pod empty in hour and half. Did a great job. Would use again if I was making a move.
