I'm looking at some of the furniture which is now scratched as no blankets were used to protect some of our furniture and there were multiple blankets available for packing. It looked like some of the chairs and two recliners were "thrown" in without care. There also seemed to be a problem with the cash we paid for overtime because they could not accept credit cards and Hire A Helper was not notified of the overtime payment. They were on time and prepared for the job. They did work hard and were respectful to us, but did not treat our furniture with care. We would not use them again.

Very disappointed. Did not show. Would not answer my calls when I tried to reach them to get an update. They had multiple numbers to reach me at but I didn't get any call to tell me they were cancelling. Put me in a horrible situation with no time left as the truck was getting picked up first thing Monday morning.
Thankfully HireAHelper customer service was sympathetic to my situation and managed to find someone to come out on a Sunday night and load the truck until 3am! My poor wife and parents were at the house from 11am getting ready for the movers, then had to stay up until 3am before it was all done.
I don't like to leave bad reviews but this just was not right. You have to ask yourself when you're entrusting a company with something so important as a move of your entire family belongings, is this the experience you'd want to have?

The guys were on time. They were respectful of my concerns and the items they moved, as well as helpful on how items were put into storage.
I would recommend them to others.

The guys showed up 15 minutes early and were very respectful and polite. They assessed the things that needed to moved working very smartly. They were prepared with a dolly if needed and and worked very very hard getting a home gym out of the house. They were very respectful of the goods and house. I would definitely hire them again.

Overall, they did a great packing job. They helped us to determine the weight since the Pack Rat goes up to 6000 lbs. They were respectful and worked hard.
But there are a few things to keep in mind.
First, if there are any containers or boxes that you do not want put in the Pack Rat, be sure to stress this. Somehow a couple of containers that i had separated from the pile, and that I needed, were packed up. I did mention it, but didnt stress it enough.
Second, They were 2 hours early. It was ok because we were ready, but if you absolutely have to have them at a specific time...stress this when you hire. Just choosing the time on the web site is not enough.

You had requested between 10/11am our thought was that parking in Chicago in the last Saturday if the ninth could be difficult and better a few minutes ahead if schedule than behind. The team could have waited until 10am if there was any conflict with your schedule As far as the totes/boxes are concerned, I'm sure it was just miscommunication ,we hope it wasn't a huge issue
