I needed to hire someone right away since the trucking company never called me to let me know when they were delivering a very large heavy item. I was able to get ASAP Moving & Junk Haul the next day! The men were great! They arrived when they said they would and were very professional. I would recommend them and I would use them again without hesitation.

I used this moving company to move to a new apartment about an hour away from my old apartment. The move went well for me. I had 3 guys and a truck for my move. I went from a 2nd floor apartment to a 3rd floor apartment, and I have heavy, solid-wood furniture, so I knew it wasn't going to be too easy on the movers. The movers were professional about the move, and did not complain about the move at all. The movers arrived and got to work right away while I showed them what was to be moved, and they continued to work hard for the duration of the move. They also were careful with my furniture and were careful not to hit walls, which I appreciated. A few pieces of furniture did arrive with some new scratches, but for the narrow stairwell that they had to work with at my new apartment, and the size/weight of the furniture, I think minimal damage is acceptable.
The only problem that was encounted on the move was due to the truck. I received a call the day before the move where the driver told me that the mirror had been damaged on the truck, and he could not use the truck that he had. He asked me if it would be okay if he were a few hours late to get his truck fixed, and I agreed. He then called me again (on the day of the move) to tell me that he was going to be later than he expected because he was still waiting on his truck. It was fine with me because my schedule was flexible that day anyway. The movers did show up at about 3pm (had scheduled them to be at my apartment at 9am before the truck mirror problem) and worked very hard to get the job done. I did not mind the problem with the truck because the driver kept me updated, and he was doing what he could to get a useable truck to my apartment as soon as possible.
For the price that they charged, and the work that was performed, I would use this company again.

We just finished working with Eric, Pablo and Fernando (guys, forgive me if I didn't get everyone's name right). Everyone was professional, friendly and nice. They moved a lot of very heavy furniture on a very rainy day. Everyone was focused and worked very quickly. Thanks for your hard work!

Eric Meekins and his helper Eddie were very professional. The communication was very good and they met us at Manhattan Mini-storage. They loaded all our belongings in a caring way and met all expectations extremely well.
I would certainly call upon Mr. Meekins and ASAP Moving again the next time I move; we were very happy with the move.

Eric and Christian did a great job of moving my stuff. They had the truck packed within 45 minutes, and I didn't have to worry about anything getting damaged.
They hauled my eliptical machine up 2 flights of stairs like it weighed 5 lbs!
All of this was done with a great attitude! I would use them again.

Eric Meekin and co-worker (Edward) were very professional. They arrived on time and prepared. Furniture was handled with care. Job completed within the specified time and without incident. I would recommend this mover.

The good news is that the helpers themselves were quick,courteous and professional.Outside of that however I was dissatisfied.Long story short - scheduled 3 helpers for three hours who were supposed to be there between 10am and 11 am.At about 845 am I recieved a call that they were going to be three hours or so late and to expect them about 1 pm.As we were on a deadline to be out of our old place we moved a couple of small loads ourselves.When the movers arrived at 1:30 pm they were able to move the remainder of our belongings in 2 hours.ASAP proprietor Ecic Meekins refused to refund us the $100 bucks for the third hour because they dont refund for unused time and could have booked another job,Really?? When were you going to start them? 5 pm?This was a crock and I will not use them or recommend them to anyone.

What can a customer expect after booking with you?
Relief & professionalism. They also can expect to get more items in their POD or Pack-rat / Rental Truck than they expected. They should expect to save a bunch of money on PODS and the Amount of PODS they need to move.
What can a customer expect on moving day if they hire you?
A Early arrival & communication. A day %100 dedicated to getting their job done in a efficient time with no damages or mistakes.
How should a customer prepare for moving day?
Make sure you have blankets! If you are renting a POD or Pack-Rat Be sure to tell them to throw 1-2 dozen blankets in the container before its delivered. Most of the time they don't even charge you. Also gather any washable blankets , sheets or towels we can use for protection... This way you don't have to break the bank on blankets. We also have started to use Boxes from Home depot. Lowes or Walmart. We can cut the boxes open and use them for TV crating, protection of Glass & Surfaces for stacking.
What types of moves have you handled?
NYC jewelry store to LA, NYC home building associations , residential moves, Las Vegas Convention Center (Santee Cosmetics), Oz mannequins + Commercial Appliance Moves. I also moved Rosie O'donnel & Michelle Rounds & many other celebs.
What's your favorite part about being a mover?
New scenery & meeting cool. interesting nice people.
What training do you provide your crew members?
We watch you tube moving self help videos to stay fresh & consider new techniques to add to our skill sets. We also stretch daily & incorporate cardio into our lives to stay conditioned.
