The guys were on time. They worked hard the whole time they were here and finished a few minutes early. Great attitude! I would definitely recommend them!!

The guys were respectful, careful planners. The job involved separating items from a 20 ft U Haul truck into two separate storage containers. They exceeded my expectations, storing boxes and furniture, items can be clearly seen, all in the space of three hours. I will hire them again and highly recommend this team. Good Work!

While Chris was helpful with Uhaul we feel they owe us 12 hours. Or a refund. They worked 3 hours leaving the job half done! I would not recommend using him. We also provided a tip and dinner. Very disappointed.

They took a rough day and turned it into a great day. I gave short notice that I needed help but they came within 3 hours and moved all my heavy junk upstairs. Nice people.

I am so disappointed.
My couch is ripped on the edge of the arm, the front leg is badly scraped, there are marks all over it. It's all visible, and not really that fixable.
I asked specifically for my couches to be wrapped. I provided the wrap and have pictures of what a poor job they did. There was no protection and they got dirty, exactly what I tried to prevent.
Many other items are dented including a metal cabinet.
We were running out of room in the large truck and had to get a second truck.
They said they were going to pack it in as much as possible in the large truck, and instead of re-organizing they just left everything smashed in. We were told there was no time to take out everything but they didn't take out anything at all, they just left things smashed in and now they are damaged.
We paid for 6 hrs, we had to leave to get a truck, and they still left early. There was time for them to fix some of it especially my couches.

Mover's response:
No mam, they did not leave early. And they did what you asked. When you only had 1 truck and we could tell it was more than 1 truck load, we tried to pack everything in 1 truck. We also did cover the couches. I also have pictures as well and in the pictures I have it was packed the best it could have been trying to pack 2 trucks into 1. You never mentioned getting a 2nd truck untill we were packing stuff out the back of the truck trying to shut the door and at that time you only had a little over an hour left and they stayed untill it was all loaded into the last truck and you had I think it was about 17 min left on the clock.

They didn’t show and didn’t cancel - avoid them at all costs.

Mover's response:
Anyone who would like to see exactly why we didn't show I'll gladly provide video of our customer that day with their car dolly and personal car hanging off the side of the mountain and we were blocked in by a 26 foot penske and and big industrial town trucks trying to pull the customers car and trailor back up the mountain. And as for your job. No.. we didn't cancel. We told you as soon as they let us by we will be on our way. You then told us do not come. Also have that in text as well. That was your choice not ours. Thanks again.

Showed up 37 min late (scheduled to get to my house between 12-1 pm, did not arrive until 1:37 pm), did not bring a dolly/hand truck like I requested, and lost the screws to attach the legs of my smart TV to the base. Would not recommend. These gentlemen also need to improve their hygiene. However they finished in time so that was good.

Mover's response:
You were the 3rd move of the day. We don't take showers between moves as it would mess our schedule up but we do take showers at the end of each day. Loading and unloading 5 and 6 trucks in 100 degree heat usually makes us swear a good bit. Also we gave you the screws and told you to put them in a zip lock baggie and we brought you 3 helpers and you only paid for 2. And we also told you way ahead of time our morning job was overlapping yours just a little but so would likely be a little after 1 and we brought 3 handtrucks. You requested us to bring tools and hand trucks. We brought 3 and had a trunk full of tools.

Nick and Wayne were very professional, pleasant and hard working. They were on-time and problem solvers in getting my truck unloaded. Chris staffed them and was response to my text messages. I highly recommend them to anyone needing their services. I’ll use them again.

We deeply regret using Hire A Helper and the moving company, Always Above Average Moving and More. Our contract with the moving company said they would arrive between 10a-11a. We contacted the moving company the day before to let them know that we would be getting the truck at 10a so if they could arrive closer to 10:30a, that would be great. They said they would have a 'crew there as early as can be.' At 11:10a the crew had yet to arrive. We texted the company and were told they should be done with an earlier job but were running late and blamed it on the truck arriving late for a job before ours. We told the company we were surprised they had jack hammered a job before ours since we had a morning start time. We asked when the crew would be arriving or if another crew could come. We were then advised incorrectly that they had texted us that they had another job and would get to us when they could. The two of us who were communicating with the company compared phones and there was no reference to another job. Regardless, the company's lack of organization and time management was not our problem. We contracted for an hour arrival window and it was clear they had no intention of honoring it. They also said that our contract stated that they had another job ahead of ours. We checked the contract and of course it did not say that. Had we been made aware of their 'getting to us when they can' position we never would have used them. When we told them that there was nothing in the contract he said 'the notes don't show on our end but he would screenshot.' Never received a screenshot, but doesn't matter. It was not in the contract we signed. They finally showed up at 1.23p,1.5 hours after the end of our allotted time. By then we had been moving stuff to the truck on our own and while they were working my son continued to move stuff out. The men who we paid 2 hours for work barely worked 1.5 hours because we had done so much of the work. Plus we paid for three flights of stairs, but it turns out there were only two flights. We were never given the opportunity to review our invoice to make adjustments. We had a 8 hour drive ahead of us. Because of the company not meeting their commitment, other family members who were going to help us clean and drive three vehicles had to leave. We didn't get home until after midnight and had to be up at 6 a.m for work. This company was not customer focused and we paid a hefty price. We were exhausted and stressed due to them squeezing another job in-front of ours with no concern of our contract. We will never use them again or Hire A Helper given this awful experience. What made this even more insulting was when we contacted Hire A Helper Customer Service multiple times they never responded. Appears they apparently don't work during weekends. Surprising giving how many moves are during the weekend. As a final note, the two men who showed up and helped us worked hard and were pleasant.

Mover's response:
You had 3 different numbers texting me to set your move up. 1 of those 3 numbers I did contact 5 days atleast ahead of time and let them know that your tine was overlapping with another job and then it was even worse the day of due to the first job being late getting the truck. I contacted you specifically almost a month before the job and you never responded or returned my call untill about 3 days before the move. So next move it would make it much simpler if you respond yourself snd don't have 15 other people from different numbers setting up the move snd if you do choose to do so make sure they're all in contact with each other as well.
