The representatives from Hire A Helper were very friendly, professional and hard working! We ask that they wear masks and they did with no problem. We hired two workers for two hours and they didn't take the entire time which was amazing!
They did a great job!

They were late, but notified me as soon as they were delayed. I had 3 movers requested, but they brought 5 from another job at no charge. The loaded a 23' trailer almost completely in 2 hours. Initially, I was prepared for a 5 star. As I began unloading, I saw how negligent they were with how they stacked my property. The company has you sign a paper stating you didn't have enough padding to properly protect all surfaces. Since it's virtually impossible to cover all surfaces, there's little way out of this. But I provided many blankets and old sheets to help as much as I could. As I was unloading, I see things protected that don't need it (old refrigerator against and old washer) and things that need it left against hard surfaces (refinished oak table with metal lamps forced up against it. As I near the end of the truck, I also see most of the padding I supplied still in it's original bag, never even used. We marked items as fragile, which many ended up on the bottom with heavy items on top. One kitchen box was turned on its side even though it was a cube with an obvious up side, so it spilled olive oil out due to extra pressure on the sideways bottles. Most furniture was damaged, the most important was our family piano. The piano was the only reason we hired this company. They didn't provide any protection even though it was prior to them even using the last blankets they were supplied, then they stacked multiple heavy items on top of it. The frame of the top of the piano snapped and need restored, as well as the finish across the top that is no covered in scratches and gouges. I think they wanted to leave, so they decided my stuff could be sacrificed. Wouldn't use again. 2 stars solely because of speed, but 2 stars probably because of speed. Wish I hadn't tipped them, this scenario is also why I hate the suggestion that these people need tips. You don't know how well they did until you get where you're going.

Although only 3 workers showed up (instead of the 4 I hired), they finished packing the 20' truck I rented within the four hours hired. I had one wheel broken off a cabinet, but don't know if that happened on the moving end or the unmoving end.... Everything else was wrapped up great (love the $10 deal on cardboard & saran wrap protection they offer!) and the glass all came through with flying colors. This is the second time I have hired Bennetts.

What can a customer expect after booking with you?
You will receive a confirmation call from our friendly office staff within 24 hrs. of booking your request. They will go over the details and address an questions or concerns you may have. We also do a confirmation call the day before your move, just to check in and make sure everything is still on schedule and re-confirm address and start times.
What can a customer expect on moving day if they hire you?
On moving day your crew leader will give you a call at least 30 minutes out. Please let them know if there are any special parking instructions or changes. Our crews bring dollies with them on all jobs. They will also bring a protection package including rope, tape, and plastic shrink wrap available for purchase if you would like to utilize our supplies.
How should a customer prepare for moving day?
Please make sure to provide at least 1 moving blanket for each Item of furniture we will be loading. The crew will utilize them to protect your cherished belongings from any damage during your drive.
What types of moves have you handled?
We are a full service moving company. We can handle any type of moving help you may need. We do local and long distance loading/ unloading. No job is too big or too small.
What's your favorite part about being a mover?
Our favorite part of being a mover is the customers. We have met so many great people over the years. We have hundreds of repeat customers. It always great to see them again and see how their family's have grown or changed.We know moving is stressful so we do our absolute best to make our part as easy and seamless as possible.
What training do you provide your crew members?
All of our crew members are thoroughly background checked before they are hired. Upon being hired we make sure they are fully trained and able to complete the work before they step a foot into the first home.
