The movers were very nice and were very careful and worked very hard. For some reason, they chose to load up boxes first which left limited room in the truck for furniture. Some essential furniture was not brought over. Also, an important piece of home electronics has gone missing. Would I use them again...? No.

They arrived on time and had to wait for me to show up from another location. They had all the necessary equipment for the move and were able to move the boxes and items prompltly and efficiently. If I had to move items again I would be happy to use them.

I had hired this company for a prior move and the service was excellent. This time they sent a team that was distracted, slow and did not work very hard. They did arrive on time and were respectful of our property but they could have completed the job in much less time.

Didn't actually use them. I was scheduled for between 10 and 11 AM for 2 hours. Several days after booking them and having that booking confirmed, I got a call saying that they hada 3 hour minimum which would have been OK. but a couple of days later, I got a call from them saying that they couldn't get here until after 4pm. Felt jerked around. Not reliable.

The movers were courteous and professional. They were friendly and explained everything clearly. When there was a problem, they apologized immediately and did what they could to correct it. HOWEVER, they were late the first day, and when they showed up, they didn't know the details of the job at hand. I had specifically stated and marked the box that there would be a piano, but they were not equiped to move it. They offered to move the rest and then come back for the piano at an additional charge. I refused and sent them away. Later, the administration from LA Movers and Packers called and offered the same thing. I told him that I had already booked LA Movers and Packers to move my piano and my other belongings, and that I was not about to pay extra to get the piano moved. Hireahelper resolved it the next day by speaking with the company and had them send out a replacement crew the next day who were equiped to handle the piano. So, my move was one stress-filled day late. The movers themselves get a 5 out of 5. The administration of LA Movers and Packers gets a 1 out of 5. I'll never again use them, but it wasn't the actual worker's faults... just the administrative staff.

Nice guys, but did not move very quickly nor did they show much respect for the items they were carrying. Asked us to personally move all glass items such as picture frames and mirrors so they wouldn't have to pack and protect them they way they would have to if they put them on their truck. When moving into the new place they banged the walls carelessly many times, they did not leave dents, but they weren't careful when bringing large pieces inside. They packed the truck efficiently and arrived on time (within the time frame allowed anyway) The movers spoke very little english (middle eastern) but could communicate effectively. Also, they did not bring their own water/ drinks for the day and asked for drinks many times.

The helpers were friendly, courteous and at the same time professional, in their approach. The way they planned to move the things proved that they were highly experienced in planning and moving the items. The helpers arrived on time and did the job efficiently. Moving my office table was an extremely challenging task as it was heavy and had to be dealt with carefully. I appreciate the way the helpers planned and moved it. I would highly recommend them for their professional and productive approach to packing - moving and unpacking.

I was extremely happy with all the helpers that helped packed the moving truck. The helpers were on time, prepared, and worked extremely hard to move all my furniture. The helpers even provided more service than I expected by carefully wrapping all the wooden furniture and fragile items. They all were respectful, kind, knowledgable, easy to work with, and worked well together as a team. I would definitely request these helpers again and would recommend your company to my friends. The subcontractor was ABC moving. It took longer than anticipated because I had underestimated the amount of work. Three men showed instead of the two promised and they did a great job! Furniture was well packed in the truck and covered. The move to an upstairs apartment was tough but they got it done. Great job!

We had three helpers and they were quick and careful. The company called ahead a couple of times to confirm and then one of the helpers called that morning to say they were in traffic and would be a few mintures late. I would use them again.

The two movers that arrived were very lax and unprofessional. One stayed on their cell phone while trying to carry items almost the entire time!!! The other mover walked and moved so slowly I thought the job was going to take 15 hours. Neither spoke English well and neither were friendly. I want movers who care about their job and work fast and efficiently. I would not recommend these movers unless the two employees sent to our job were replaced.

We hired LA Movers & Packers to load and unload our heavy furniture - during our recent move. The time frame we requested service was between 8 and 9 a.m. They arrived at 9:30 -- pausing for a smoke before they came in. In our confirmation call, we asked if there was any special equipment we needed to provide. They assured us there wasn't, but when they arrived, they asked us for stablizing straps. I had to run to the other house to get them, and when I returned, they didn't even use them. After getting to the other house, they paused again for a smoke -- leaving the butts on my driveway.They then proceeded to drag my antique bureau on its side the length of the house to the bedroom. They did get the refrigerator doors off to fit through the narrow doorways, but broke the plastic covering that conceals the screws. My desk has deep scratches on the wood where it scraped against something in the process (I did supply them with furniture blankets...were they used properly? I didn't notice because...Oh, yes, I was out getting straps!). They were strong and able to handle the heavy weight without hurting themselves.They expressed concern for my furniture, but did not go out of their way to ensure it was secure once I brought the straps. I give them two stars because I think they could do a better job if they put more attention into customer service and professionalism.

We were very pleased with the help we received from LA Movers and Packers. They unloaded two large containers that had been shipped cross county and included an upright piano in record time. The workers were courteous and hardworking. We recommend them without reservation.

LA Movers & Packers did a superb job of unloading a 16' PODS container and moving me into my new home. Two helpers with hand truck and dolly made an orderly process of it: first the large area rug, then the furniture placement, then boxes, lots of boxes. Hard-working professionals eager to get the job done well. Because both LA Movers and I were flexible about timing, they were able to make the move earlier than ordered. Yes, I recommend them to others.

I would never hire them again. They were rude did not speak much english , Very hard to communicate with, called our furniture and belongings "crap". Called supervisor he agreed with his workers, of course he agreed with his workers. They did not take instruction on where we wanted things placed, put boxes in our storage shed when they belonged in the house. we feel they billed us incorrectly for hours they sat at the original loading site after all was done then wanted us to pay for they're lunch. Look them over very carefully before hiring.

The best thing I can say is that these guys were fast. Our 16 foot POD was unloaded in 1.5 hours. They were also very careful with our things, efficient and, polite. I can't be sure because it is a new apartment and already very old, but I think our walls were dinged very slightly (chipped paint and scuffs on tight corners). We had a lot of breakable stuff including several boxes of glassware and nothing was harmed. All in all a very good move.

The movers were on time, very courteous, helpful, flexible, patient and attended all of our needs. We have moved many tools and some furniture from a hangar in an airport to another and the tools needed to be cleaned before being packed. They patiently helped us clean all of them before packing. We would definitely use them again. Thank you very much for the good service.

Nice guys who performed what was asked. They did however after taking apart the bed left the screws at the old residence. My daughter had to go back and find them. This probably added to the time required to perform the job by one hour. However this may have been an honest mistake.

Movers did not bring dollys, carried everything by hand, even though they were informed of a long carry to the truck. Needed to borrow my dolly. I paid extra for moving blankets which were not used. They packed furniture without blankets and caused damage to expensive and heirloom furniture.

The movers were on time and professional, but I have used other movers (Richard Witherspoon was excellent!) that were faster and (because this was a pay-by-the-hour service) less expensive. Overall, I would definitely recommend these movers - they were an excellent value. They provided the truck, dollies, and pads. The only extra charge was for a roll of shrink wrap that will cost you an extra $59 per roll (and they only estimate how many rolls they will use for the move). If you don't want to worry about renting your own truck, dollies, etc., then these movers are great. If you don't mind spending/driving your own equipment/truck, go with Richard Witherspoon.

Helpers did not arrive for first appointment time, however Alex responded quickly and dispatched a second team which arrived an hour later. Both helpers neat and personable and completed in one hour for 1 BDR apartment. Would have helped if there was a 2 hour minimum rather than 3 hours. Upon unloading I discovered damage to one small table and a lamp shade. That is acceptable given the circumstances. LA Movers carries insurance and licenses which is important to me.

They were on time! Our movers worked continuously to fill the truck using every minute of our time productively and every inch of their truck was packed strategically. Moving is stressful and they were confident and took control of the situation. I asked them 10 times if all my stuff would fit in their 26 footer and each time they smiled and said yes! A+ JOB!!! #1 in my book............They were very careful with my possessions and my new home.

These guys were very helpfull. I was nervous about a couple of the large items, particularly the big TV. They struggled with that instead of using tools. They packed the truck well and kept their smoking away from the house. Didn't ask what needed to be done, just took initiative and solved issues on their own.

There were positives and negatives about this experience. Positives- They stayed and completed the job, even though they weren't done until 11 pm on a Friday night. MUCH appreciated. Everything was handled with care. All trash, packing materials, etc. that they used were removed when they left. The lead guy was experienced and knew how to pack the truck and wrap our belongings. They all worked hard until the end. Negatives- They arrived 2 hours late. This was somewhat expected since I was told they couldn't start moving us until 3 pm. I knew they must have had a job before us and I assumed due to LA traffic they would show up late. And, they didn't arrive until 5 pm. I would blame the scheduler for this, and not the actual movers that showed up. I would hire this company again, but I would make sure we were the first job of the day.

The three young men were on time and worked at a good steady pace. They were polite, pleasant, and cooperative. They lacked a large dolly or cart with wheels. So, it was difficult for them to move two large dining room china cabinets. They did so purely because of the strength they had. I would recommend them to others but it would be better if they had more equipment for such a move as this one was.

Cannot say enough good things about this company. We hired them to pack about 3/4 of our 4 bedroom house and load it onto a full sized moving truck. They were unbelievable. Serge and his crew we very polite, and they were on the go non-stop. There was no standing around chit chatting, all 4 guys worked hard all day. The next day, it was sweltering outside. We had a delay and the moving truck didn't show up until noon instead of 8AM. Communication worked well, but they had to do most of the work during the hottest part of the day. I am known for being able to pack things very well. No way I could have done nearly as good as Serge did loading stuff on the moving truck and making use of the space. Everything was very well protected. I don't know what else to say...I would hire them again without question and will refer them to my friends. They were beyond excellent at a very reasonable price. Thank you all so much.

Four young men showed up our house to move us on July 12th. They were a little late due to traffic, but they more than made up for their tardiness in efficiency and professionalism. They were delightful young men...kind, friendly, and VERY knowledgeable. After loading about 1/3 of our truck, they told us that all of our boxes and belongings would not fit in our 26' truck, so I had to run out and rent an additional truck to load. They had both trucks loaded in 4 and 1/2 hours, and that included waiting an 1 and 1/2 for me to return with the other rental truck. They used every bit of space in both trucks, and everything made it to our destination undamaged! They were fantastic and I can't sing their praises enough. Thank you, thank you, thank you.... These guys are fantastic. After my other movers didn't show up Alex agreed to help me with less than 24hrs notice. Kevin and the other young man were careful, helpful, and very quick. There's nothing I hate more than a funeral and that's moving. Both of those occasions are stressful and you want to be able to trust people you don't even know to make it OK. I had a few moving companies come out & give me bids. I was recommended Hire-A-Helper as having good guys and they recommended Alex at LA Movers. I wasn't disappointed. They showed up on time, worked fast and didn't damage my stuff. I don't want to move ever again but they are the ones I would call again.

Courteous, professional, and hard-working two person crew. They showed up on time and took care to follow my instructions on how to load the items for our move. Booking these movers was easy and Alex returned my call promptly. The moving guys arrived even a bit early. They were polite and they worked steadily and carefully. The total cost was very reasonable and paying with a credit card online was simple. There really seemed to be no hidden costs. Be prepared, though, with a little extra cash because one of the guys might just ask for a tip since they did a good job. They *did* do a good job but it would be better if a tip could be included in the online cost. When you're packing boxes, you don't always have time to run by the ATM!
