They arrived a hour and 15 minutes past the agreed upon window of 8-9am with 2 persons vs 3 as contracted. Deonte and Brian were prepared, worked fast and efficiently that by the time the 3rd guy showed up (1 1/2 hrs into the job) they pretty much were done. At the end of the day they did a fantastic job getting everything loaded that I would hire them again.

On 4/1/22 I hired 2 men, for 4 hours to unload my uhaul and uhaul trailer. They were ten minutes late, they didn’t introduced themselves and owner even dropped them off and never approached my mother and I before dropping them off to introduce himself. One of the guys tried to move the uhaul and I said that I have no problems moving it. He was very chauvinistic and acted like a female couldn’t more a uhaul truck. I drove school bus for 8 years and carry my CDL license. I was beyond capable of moving a uhaul truck. I already drove it 6.5 hours from NC just fine. These guys were also lead by myself and my mother and had to tell them how to pack a storage unit. They were refusing to stack to the ceiling and trying to force 3 not fully filled storage units into a fourth. Which was absolutely not needed if they were capable of actually moving correctly. They also dropped our couch pretty bad. I tried to complain to the owner who showed no remorse, no apology, no customer service, or professionalism and believed that his movers were still doing a great job. He did end up showing up and started moving things around the truck, without saying who he was and who he was with. I asked him who he was and he stated his name was Joshua, and turned around walking around. My stepfather was a professional mover for YEARS. He taught my mother and I how to load and unload a moving truck and how to pack a storage unit. We knew how to do it right, but when advising or supervising the guys, they acted like we knew nothing and that they were the “professionals.” “Professionals” who moved slower than a slug, and required me, someone whose disabled to have to jump in and start acting as a supervisor and a mover to get these guys moving. They were a waste of our time, rude, offered no discount to help with the issues and troubles that we had complained about rightfully so. I will never use this company again, which I will need movers again from the unit into the home we finally purchase in the upcoming weeks. I will always tell everyone about this experience when someone asks me to recommend a mover.

Absolutely horrible customer service on Chap’s Professional Movers. We did night before booking for a 1-2pm arrival time for unloading only. Around 1:30pm we called for an eta, Joshua said arrival would be 3-4pm but had an attitude. We understood since it was a last minute booking. We got a text around 2:30pm saying they will be arriving soon. At 3:45 we get another text saying our 2 prepaid hours are almost up, and they haven’t even shown up yet. We immediately call asking for an update, and Joshua’s proceeds to hang up on us. Called him back and we were
declined immediately. Needless to say, we called Hire A Helper to cancel and they were able to help us and had excellent customer service.
