We hired "Moving Guides" to unload a cargo van with items that included a double sleep sofa, boxes, two glass top tables, a dresser large leather chair and ottoman. We had to change the original time we booked for service because the freight elevator was being used for the time I booked the men. I just called the number given me via email, and they said, "No problem." They had a little trouble finding the building, but once they both got there, the unload went very smoothly. Both men were extremely courteous and careful. When asked to help put some furniture together, they jumped right in with no hesitation. I highly recommend "Moving Guides" and would definitely use them again.

I needed help to move sheet rock (drywall) from my garage to my basement (130 sheets). My original choice called me immediately (5 min after my web site booking) and stated they could not be available at my designated time frame I requested. They suggested for me to call the "hire a helper phone line" to reschedule with another crew. The hotline set me up with another crew within minutes and refunded me $11 for finding me a different crew at a cheaper price. The two guys arrived within the 15 minute start time that I needed them and worked hard. They had to walk up and down basement stairs at least 60 times to complete the job. It took the entire 2 hrs I booked them. I did tip them for a job well done (tipping is not required). I would hire them again if needed. This was my first time using the web based service and I was not disappointed. ($169 plus tip) Highly recommended!!

First, I'd like to say that the company was very flexible and willing to work with my schedule - I initially did not know when my things were going to arrive, and they ended up coming earlier than we had scheduled. It was a last minute change and they kept me informed of their status and arrived as quickly as possible.
However, when they showed up I was a little concerned because they didn't have any dollies or carts, and I had two moving containers full of furniture and boxes - I wasn't sure they would be able to get the job done in the two hrs I scheduled. Thankfully, my complex had a dollie that we were able to use. Even with one dollie, they ended up moving everything into my apartment in about an hour and a half (less time than it took my movers to load the containers).
They were careful with my things and asked me where I wanted my furniture so I didn't have to move it again later. They didn't break the mirror on top of my dresser, and I was VERY concerned about it being damaged while moving. The only thing that I would take a star off for was that because they didn't have moving supplies and my door doesn't stay open (not sure this is totally their fault), I had to keep holding the door open for them because their hands were full (understandably), and I was working from home, so I kept getting interrupted. Besides that, they were very respectful - it seemed like they were doing their best to not disturb me.
Since we had time left, they even offered to help me put up my curtain rod (which was a fail because I didn't have a drill but that's not their fault at all).

I needed last minute help, and they were there an hour after I called! I thought it would take more than two hours, but these two guys did everything I asked them in about 45 minutes. They were fast, friendly, very careful with our stuff, and moved some REALLY heavy stuff like it was no big deal. I would recommend them to anyone, and will use them again without hesitation. Thanks guys!

Chris was fantastic & I'm grateful for very last minute help. Chris was very respectful, worked hard, and took great care with my furniture, building & condo. Only reason not 5 stars = cOmmunication could have been much better - had to hunt them down. No one called to confirm. I made a few frantic calls when they were late. Chris got there an hour after scheduled because he was waiting for the second pair of hands I paid for (who didn't arrive until after Chris & I had emptied the truck - about 2.5 hours after scheduled). Except for that, Moving Guides was great!

They were not as careful as i expected and did not use the furniture pads enough. they were two hours late. They were very nice and friendly.

The amount of damage caused by the Moving Guides was atrocious: book boxes were placed on top of china boxes! Hire someone else. These people are not worth the destruction of your belongings.
