1. They were late
2. They had only 2 people and one of the person did not move anything heavy so we really only had one mover. The owner was very good and worked very hard. His helper just walked around and did not do much...
3. There was damage to the wood floors.
4. The helper pushed the refrigerator back too far and water flood the wood floors... Then he tried to blame me for it...

The work got done and I'm grateful... And it could have been a very different experience...

I am so disappointed. We are all on timelines when completing a move. I was informed 30 minutes prior to expected arrival time that they were cancelling being that the staff quit! Unbelievable.

I would recommend going with a different company. I hired a 2 man crew for 2 hours unloading, it took them an hour and a half. My window was from 11-12 for my movers to show up. I reached out at 11:15 to touch base with my crew and no one responded. By 12 I still hadn’t heard from anyone. I called Hire A Helper and they helped me get a hold of the company 35 minutes later. My movers were stuck at another job and did not show up until 3pm. They then proceeded to scratch multiple pieces of furniture and do a mediocre job. Hire a helper customer service was great, just go with another moving company.

The two helpers that were sent to me were teenagers who could hardly lift heavier things. They dented our walls while carrying in stuff. They still carried in a lot which was a big help and they worked hard.

Read the 2nd half of my review to find out why I have a problem with the booking company Helping Hands. New City Moving Company arrived on time, were friendly and professional and fully prepared to do the job. They came with all the equipment and tools to do the job. The work was reasonably efficiently and at a good pace. They handled my property like it was they're own. I'm be more than happy to recommend them and would use them again.
My problem is with the booking company, Helping Hands. The company I used in Phoenix did a good job, but the one I used in Mississippi wasn't near as good .They did an OK job, but didn't have all the tools or equipment they needed, rushed to finish and put some items, that were to be unloaded 1st, in the back and others that were to be unloaded later up front.
