Service once the helpers arrived was good but the original crew that was assigned was 4 hrs late and a new crew had to be sent. My wife and I did most of the loading ourselves which defeats the purpose of paying for the service.

They did a great job! They moved everything with care and did it efficiently. They finished the full move in 2 hours - both loading and unloading the truck. I scheduled them to arrive between 10-11 am, but they were held up at another move and arrived at 12:30 pm. I rented the uhaul truck, utility dolly, and furniture pads that the movers used. They brought a small furniture dolly that they used as well. I would hire them again.

I am not one to leave a 1 star review if I didn’t feel it was necessary. I am trying to help out anyone who may be contemplating this service or movers. They were absolutely horrible. I don’t even know where to begin. They showed up late. I hired 3 people. Well, 3 people showed up but it was a man, a teenager and a pregnant woman. I didn’t know whether to laugh or cry. We had one day to do the move so I had to continue with the “hired help.” They moaned and groaned. The woman directed the man and boy what to do. The young boy almost got injures carrying our bed upstairs and my husband had to jump in and help. They broke numerous items and they needed an additional 1hr to finish the move, which I had to pay extra for. Beware of who you hire. Ask lots of questions, be detailed about the move and God bless!

My first time using HireAHelper unfortunately didn't leave a good taste in my mouth with regards to this service provider. They confirmed the evening before my move date that they would be onsite at 11AM the next morning as requested. So at 11:01AM I receive a phone call from Quincy advising that they got stuck in some traffic and would be another 45 min. He reassured me he had extra help to expedite and wouldn't take long. Tick, tock, tick tock, 1:10PM comes and needless to say, the provider is not very "Proficient" as their name implies. Quincy doesn't answer my call at 1:10PM and it goes to voicemail. I leave a message and await a response. 1:28PM arrives and someone, not Quincy, tells me they are at a standstill in traffic. Apologizes and says they will be onsite by 3PM. I take a moment to express my disappointment and just receive a very lame, "sorry". At this point I have called HAH and let them know the situation. HAH advises they will call the supplier to see what's happening. At 2:25PM HAH calls me back to say they are not able to get the provider on the phone either and cannot understand why they aren't onsite nor answering the phone. They reassure me that they will speak with their own supervisor and continue to try to contact Quincy. Fast forward another hour, 3:23PM, HAH calls me again asking if the provider is onsite yet. Of course at this point the answer still remains, "NO". By now I also have advised HAH that I will not use this provider even if they show up. We are quickly approaching 5 hours since they were supposed to be onsite. The time is now 3:39PM and I receive a call from Quincy saying they are here. I go out and speak with one of the three who made the trip. I advise him that I have just spoken with HAH and they are supposed to cancel the appointment as a "No Show". After going back and forth with the provider as they are now looking to assist me however they can, I advised them there is no need and I cannot sit around for another 2 hours for them to load and unload. I received a halfhearted apology and they just had a complete disregard for what they just put us through with the constant lies about their whereabouts, avoiding calls from myself and HAH and assumed they would just show up whenever they felt like it, which I assume they figured we would accept their apology and allow them to complete the move because they were already here. I would rather complete the move myself with my bad back for however long it may have taken me, put my own back in worse condition then to pay these guys to lift a napkin. I say napkin because they apparently dropped a pile of them in my driveway as they left. Avoid this company all costs. HAH should remove Proficient Moving Professionals from their list of service providers or at the very least, have them reimburse customers for their inability to meet the agreed to timelines. Traffic is understandable. Being 5 hours late is not. I lost an entire day of work which also resulted in an additional day for my truck rental as well. HAH did right by me and found another provider who was available for the next day. Lucky for me, I had an extra day to complete my move or I would have had an even bigger problem with the Landlord for still being in the home. I hope my review of the new company is the complete opposite of this one. Good luck to you if you choose Proficient Moving Professionals but if you read this far, you would be a fool to even consider them.

You were made aware of the time we would arrive and told extra guys was sent out. Unfortunately we had a bad traffic day and situation happened. We take pride in making your day less stressful.. Yes we fell short but you were aware of issue ahead of time and we still traveled from Ct to NJ to assist you with your move. Before job was canceled by you, the crew was already there. Also when HAH made contact they also spoke with us before cancelation. Your move was a last min add on and we did our b
