Please if you need assistance with knowing how big of a truck or how many containers you need. We can help you with that. If you are in Miltary or college you get a 5% Discount if it's a 2 - 3hour job. If the job is a 4 hour plus you ll get 10% off. You must show ID to get the discount. We hired Rent a Helping Hand LLC through Pack Rat. We hired two workers for four hours. The two young workers were a great team. My husband hired only two men because he knew he would help them out. The two young men did most of the work, but my husband helped whenever needed.
There were two other workers who had to wait while the others worked because they were not hired, but both pitched in when there was something very heavy. We appreciated that the two men worked quickly and knew we had a time crunch to fill two big pods with furniture and boxes from a three-bedroom home.
Two friends of ours were also there. One, a guy, also helped out. He thought the two men did such a good job that he added his own money to the tip we gave not just the two men, but also to the third man who pitched in very occasionally.
We appreciated their hard work and how carefully they made best use of the space in each pod. Although Maurice and his team worker were thin and petite (like my husband), they were strong and worked so well together. I would recommend this very hard-working team who worked very hard to fit everything in and to complete the job in the time they had.

I feel guilty about giving them only one star. What I really want is a way to give these guys a negative number!
My move was only across the hall in a private assisted living facility, and these guys still screwed the pooch.
All in all, if you use this crew, you deserve what you get. Don't say you weren't warned.

Well this was day 3 of packing my pods and Brian and Timothy returned to help finish the job. I can't say enough good things about these guys, but if you have a chance to request them, do it! THANK YOU RENT A HELPING HAND .

Second time Brian and Timothy came to help. Yes they were on time, prepared for the job, worked hard, very respectful of my property and goods, and yes I will use them again as I have already scheduled them to come back for a third day. So far no complaints only good news. They have been my saving grace!

We were very appreciative about their work ethic and timeliness as we were in a difficult situation due to delayed closing. They completed both loading and unloading quickly and without any damage to property nor furniture. We definitely recomend.

There were 3 men, and one of them was a supervisor. He was very nice. His name was Reece Henderson. I don't know the other men's names. One was very aggressive, and always complaining, and dishing out orders. He was rushing, impatient, and angry. I had my pod in storage for 2 months, and just moved in this past week to my new home. After emptying the pod, I discovered a lot of damage had been done to several pieces of my furniture. My dining room hutch had 3 glass panels, 2 of them were doors. Both doors broke. One of them had been split in half, and then put together and wrapped in bubble wrap and put in the pod that way. Obviously I didn't see that happen. My very expensive headboard which is all oak has closets and drawers, etc. One of the doors was split right down to almost the bottom of the door. My oak dresser was gouged in several places. My oak coffee table was gouged, and the bottom shelf is now out of place. I called your office to report it this past week, they said they would email me a report to fill out, I have not received any email at all. Right now I am very unhappy with "Hire a Helper", and sorry that Your company recommended them. I will continue to call to have some compensation for all the damage, but somehow, I don't expect them to get back to me.
