The movers were slated to come between 2-3pm. They called at 1:50 to say they would arrive at 2:30. At 3 they called to say they would be there in 15 minutes. At 3:15 they arrived; by then we had already unloaded half of the truck by ourselves. They were courteous and polite and fairly hard workers, though one used his cell phone at least once. At 90 minutes they asked me to close out the order, even though they still had 30 minutes to go. When prodded slightly they did finish the job without complaint.

I wish there was an option for zero stars. I had them booked to help unload a truck. I called and confirmed the day before. The morning of the move, they were not there. I had to call them after they were late and they informed me that someone had car trouble and they would be two hours or more getting to me. Then they cancelled my move altogether with hire a helper unbeknownst to me. Luckily, Hire a Helper stepped in and found me a replacement. Be leary.

I was very pleased with my movers Thomas and Dwayne. Worked very hard to clear my apartment out in no time. Were very helpful and willing to do whatever asked/needed. I received a confirmation call the day before. On moving day, they called to let me know they were en route and arrived right on time. They worked very hard and I would definitely recommend using them.

Both of the gentlemen here to do the unload of my 16' Pack Rat (Lowe's version of a POD) were amazing! From the parking lot to a 3rd floor apartment they definitely worked very hard! Respectful & courteous! I would definitely use Best Man Movers again & will refer them to anyone looking for moving labor help. Thank you a million for a job Well Done!

They weren't on time because they apparently had car trouble in the morning and didn't bring a dolly. However, they did do a good job moving my stuff in the house and were very nice.

The guys that showed up for our job were likable and worked hard. They got right to work and stayed at it until the job was complete. They had nothing with them in terms of tools, appliance dollies, blankets, or anything to protect our stuff. I had a hand truck and some blankets that we made use of. Several of our furniture items were scratched during the move and the doors of our stainless fridge were gouged pretty good. The wood floors also got gouged. Much of the process went very smoothly and having the help was certainly appreciated, but I can't give a strong recommendation because of the concerns noted above. Caveat emptor.

How should a customer prepare for moving day?
Start as early as you can. The more time you have for preparing for your move, the better. ?In this case treat time as a friend and it will serve you. ?Distribute the weight evenly as much as possible between the boxes. If they are two heavy they could break when you carry them and it may not be very healthy for your back either. Another option is to use plastic boxes. They are stronger and you could rent them. That way no spending money for boxes and no searching for how to get rid of them afterwards.
