We had Mike and Tom help us from Kauffman's moving. They were both very professional and hard working. It must have been 95 that day, and neither one complained at all. I would definitely use them again. Overall, I had a great experience with this moving company. There were no damages and the rates are more than reasonable.

I had used Kauffman's moving last year and it was great. But now I know it was only great because Mike himself did that job. This time was atrocious and I will never refer or use Kauffmans moving again. They were to pick up the U-Haul truck at 7AM. I was at the UHAUL center at 6:50AM signed for the truck. I finally left at 7:15AM as they were not there yet. The UHAUL rep stated he would give Kauffman's the keys. Then after 30-40 minutes of waiting I get a call from Kauffmans stating that they are at my residence and "where am I". Well - they went to my new home instead of my old home. They then had to turn around (in a UHAUL in which I was paying for the gas) and come to my loading home. By the time they arrived at my new home my time was almost up with the UHAUL. The movers were very careless with my items. My new walls are all scratched up and what is worse my wooden furniture has deep gashes in it. There was a total disregard for my possessions. And what is worse. I paid for 2 hours of moving. And at the end none of their mistakes were taken into account and I was charged for four hours. The movers would not leave my home until I paid for this and they actually stated that it did not matter that they went to the wrong house or were late to pick up the UHAUL. They called Mike Kauffman who backed them up on all of this. I am outraged and I will never use their services again. I will make sure to tell my family and friends of their services as well and refer them elsewhere.

The guys were early and that was appreciated since I was packing and then driving 20 hrs south. Any extra time really helped. They worked hard and got the job done right.

Very rough looking group...not the kind of people you want in your home.
Showed up with 4 people although I only booked for 2, tried to get me to pay them cash at the end and then asked for a check when I said I didn't have any. I told them to have there boss call me and they said they couldn't since they were just picked up for the job...SKETCHY. I couldn't get rid of them, they were making everyone feel EXTREMELY uncomfortable as they kept asking for money- even though i gave them $40 cash. One guy then asked for a drink, made a mixed drink with vodka, and proceeded to down it.....
They finally left clearly aggravated that we would not pay, when this was not what we booked & they hadn't had company approval.
I called the manager as soon as they left and he was not very helpful. He said all of his employees are drug tested and background checked but the longer we spoke he also said most of his movers are 1099, and was unclear as to weather these employees were included in this. He said he would refund me the $40 tip and that was it...
Do not hire this company, not worth the stress and anxiety, thank god for alarm systems!

I would highly recommend Kauffman's moving. The guys that showed up to help me load my tuck worked efficiently within my time frame and did a great job of packing my furniture truck. Also, Kauffman's provided great customer service from time of booking until the job was complete.
