The location was hard to find and they called to let us know they were in the area. They moved very quickly and emptied our POD in less than 1 hour; then helped put beds and shelving together. Very friendly gentlemen.

PROS: Most things were eventually packed in the truck well. CONS: It took far too long and cost far too much money to move my belongings from a storage room to a moving trailer. REVIEW: I hired for help to move from my storage room to an ABF truck (I have an upcoming move from GA to VA). The guys were nice and everything started well, but I should've asked more questions before hiring them, such as how they pack a truck to protect and secure items for a cross-country move. Some of my furniture was damaged moving from the storage room to the truck (I've repaired what I can so far), this makes me nervous for what I'll find when I get to VA. I provided adjustable straps to secure items in tiers in the truck (this has worked well for my previous moves). They said straps are not necessary and they don't use them. The truck is not packed to the ceiling as we had discussed (a grown man can easily crawl over everything). Breakables (picture frames wrapped in bubble wrap and boxes marked fragile) were left unsecured on top of other items. They agreed to strap some of those items in, but I'm really nervous about how things are packed for this move. Now I'm trying to decide what I can/should do to better protect my belongings, if I need to reorganize and/or repack the truck. UPDATE: They have been really helpful and have agreed to repack as necessary and make sure everything is secure in the trailer. If this goes well, I'll be happy to change my review to a 5. FINAL UPDATE: The guys worked hard today to repack and secure several items in the trailer. I'm definitely more comfortable with the packing. However, I paid for 2 hours of labor for 4 men on Saturday and an additional 3 hours of labor for 2 men today. That is far too much time and money than should have been necessary to move my belongings from a storage room to a truck. I feel better about how the truck is packed, but I'm not pleased with how long it took or how much it cost me.

These guys were absolutely amazing. My husband absolutely refused to hire movers, as he is super paranoid about other people handling our belongings. When my husband got sick two days before our moving container was scheduled to arrive, he had to admit he needed help. Q from Basik accommodated us on short notice, worked around our schedule, and arrived when he and his moving partner said they would. They worked full steam the whole time, no breaks, and it was HOT today too. They got the whole 16' moving container unloaded into our two level townhouse in just under two hours. They were very friendly and, importantly, careful with our items and home. After they left, my husband thanked me repeatedly for picking them and kept saying how great they were. We got their card so we can hire them for our next move. My paranoid "NOBODY TOUCHES MY STUFF" husband is a convert! Thanks Q and Basik!

The man in charge, Mr. Q, communicated very well. He and his assistant were called in late at the last minute because the original movers couldn't make it. Basik was right on time, very efficient, and professional. My job was complicated and Mr. Q knew just how to handle it. They were both delightful and didn't complain about anything. They were extremely careful with my furniture and respectful of my things. I would definitely recommend them and will certainly use them again.

Basik movers are awesome! Q and Kenny came and moved our whole house into 2 Pods. They knew what they were doing and took great care to wrap our furniture and load the Pods. They were on time and were very polite! Would highly recommend them and would use them again!

Ken & Q came well prepared with their tools to assemble (and fix) the bed, suggested to put a pad underneath one of the bed supports that was off of the rug to protect the floor, and handled every piece of furniture and boxes with care. They were on time, courteous (even when I asked them to move the sewing machine to three different places), and they were very efficient...moved an 8x16 ft container full of furniture and household goods in under 2 hrs. We would highly recommend Ken & Q of Basic Movers!

I don't usually right long reviews like this but felt I absolutely needed to.
"Q" and Kenny are the ABSOLUTE best!!! Q called me right after I made the reservation to discuss the logistics of our move and confirm details. He was professional, pleasant and energetic from the get go which was very comforting as we were moving to a new state and under a tonn of stress.
Q texted the night before to confirm the start time, called me the morning of the move to let me know they were on their way and showed up as promised ready to work! The initial reservation was for help packing a 16' PODS unit. Q and Kenny emptied almost 2/3'rds of our house and made sure to show us each step of the way how our important items were secured and protected which was a nice touch.
I was so impressed with them I had them back the following weekend to pack the 2nd PODS unit. They performed to the high level I experienced with the first unit.
Q then reach "super-hero" status with my wife and I. He and Kenny finished the 2nd POD on Friday and we said we could take care of the rest....boy were we wrong! Long story short, I texted him Friday night around 9:45PM and asked if he could come back the next morning as we were WAY behind and scheduled to leave for our new home in another state the next day. His response?...."absolutely! what time do you need me there?". I said as early as possible and the next thing I know, our buddy Q was at our door at 8:00am the next morning ready to help :). He got the rest of what we needed into to the PODS until, locked it up and we were ready to go.
He stayed longer than he need to and I can't tell you how much it meant to our family. This guy really cares and it shows in everything he does. He just an awesome guy. Heck my 4 year old little girl ran up to him as he was leaving to give him a big hug and say Thank You!.
I moved several times and have used a variety of companies and I can say hands down, these guys are the BEST in the business. Seriously, call them! You will not be disappointed.
