I booked two movers for two hours 4 days before we needed them, and got a prompt response from the hireahelper site. However, I didn't receive a confirmation call from the HFY owner as was indicated I should have. I eventually ended up leaving a message twice on the Friday before we needed them for the Sunday morning. The owner called shortly after the second message to confirm that we would have two movers at the time we had requested (between 8-9am on Sunday morning). I told him at that time that we only had the rental truck until noon Sunday. He also said to make sure I had my phone available, because whoever was coming out would call between 7 and 7:30 Sunday to let me know what time to expect them. I never received that call. I finally got a call at 8:55 from the owner's brother (who was one of the folks supposed to help) saying that they would be there at 9:30. When I pointed out that we had been told they'd be there by 9, he said "yeah, that's what the schedule says". No apology, just "we're running behind". I informed him that we only had the rental truck until noon, and he said yeah, we'll be there by 9:30. I asked him explicitly if he needed directions to the house and he said no, I've got it in my GPS. I didn't hear anything until 10:20, when he called to say they were lost. I gave directions and they got to the house right at 10:30. When they got there, I asked if they had brought the furniture pads that I had specifically requested both in my hireahelper request and again on the phone with the owner, who promised they'd come with the movers. I was told they didn't have any, that all of them were being used in another move, but they'd pack so that nothing would scratch the furniture. Sean and his helper (didn't catch his name) were very nice and quick with the move once they got there and got going, packed everything in the truck well and got it moved into the storage unit quickly, no scratches (despite the lack of furniture pads). However, we were 10 minutes late turning back the truck. We were very fortunate that the storage center chose not to charge us a late fee and that we hadn't used enough gas to warrant needing to refuel the truck. Had we gone any longer we probably would have been out another $80 for the fees.
Overall, the actual moving was fast and well done. However, the stress from not knowing whether they were going to show up, and then running up against time limits was VERY unnecessary. If you use these guys, make sure you allot plenty of time for potential delays. I thought a couple hours would be enough pad, and was wrong.

The contractor showed up when he promised and did the work as contracted without any problems. Would use this contractor again if the need arises

I made the reservaion online and it all looked like it confirmed. No one from the company called. They were suppose to arrive at 8:30 am on 5/5 and at 9:00 am, I made a call to HFY Moving and had to leave a message. Also called HireAHelper and had a problem getting through because they were have phone problems. Someone from HFY called me at 9:30 am and apologized for the confusion. Said the crew could be here at approx 2 pm since they were on another job. I decided to pursue other avenues and got someone here at 12:30 pm. The delay really messed up my plans for the day. I cancelled HFY at 2:00 pm. I had to spend more money due to the delay.;

Had a great experience with Lee and his crew. They showed up and worked really hard for the two hours all 3 of them were there. They were polite, courteous, and worked hard. Will be hiring them again in the future when I need movers again!

The only negative I can say about Lee and the guys at HFY is that we've used them too much lately! But each time they've been on time, done a great job and been very careful with all our things.
On one move they did slightly damage a table, but Lee took full responsibility and took care of the problem. We've recommended them to others who have also had a good experieince. Hopefully, there aren't any more moves in the near future, but if there are, HFY is who we'll call.
