Nathan and crew were exceptional. They stayed on task, were very respectful and courteous..Nathan did an exceptional job of loading my new storage, its the best I have ever seen.

After multiple phone calls, they finally arrived an hour and 45 minutes late. I had to get my disabled brother and elderly father to help me unload the truck until they got there. The two men who showed up were not professionals and every time I came down they were standing around looking at the boxes. I had to micromanage them and give them directions the whole time. I don't know if they were trying to drag out the time or if they honestly just didn't know what to do. I had to return the truck by noon, so I only used them for an hour instead of the two I booked. Then I had to make multiple calls/emails to hire a helper to change the charges from the two hours I'd booked, to the one hour the service was actually used. I've used hire a helper in the past and never had such a bad experience not only with them but also the moving company. Unfortunately it left such a bad taste in my mouth, I won't use hire a helper or Onyx movers in the future. My advice is if you're determined to use this site or this company, make sure you have several backup plans.

Excellent company. Completed loading my POD in 60 minutes, which should have been a 3-4 hour job. I will highly recommend and will use their services again.

"Labor only" hired for arrival 8-9 am. They did not answer calls from 7:50am, 8:18am attempting to confirm that they were on their way or get an arrival time. I called again at 9:04 and left a message. They called me back at 9:06 and said they didn't know where the workers were, they asked me not to move anything until they could figure it out, and she said she would call me back. I told her I didn't think that was an option as the truck had to be returned by 12 an hour away. She said she would call me back, don't touch anything.
She did not call me back but someone else called 30 minutes later saying he was on his way. He said he got the time mixed up and thought he was supposed to be there between 9-10. They finally showed up at 9:52 and worked until 11 am, when I had to stop them to return the rental truck.
The workers were not only exceedingly late, necessitating that I find other move help, but also inefficient, dragging time out unnecessarily. It took two men from their company the day prior (loading day), less than an hour and a half to load the truck. Unloading day, though the 16 foot truck was already 1/3 unloaded (by myself and two helpers) by the time the hired workers arrived, they needed constant monitoring and direction to get the rest of the truck unloaded, with 5 people total unloading it.
When I told them to stop, "I have leave to return the truck", "we are done", one of the workers actually came back and told me that I have to mark the job as completed before they can leave. When I told him I'd have to take care of that later as my phone was in my car and I was already late returning the truck because of them, he actually said "well I can come with you to your car". This was intimidating and made me afraid that if I didn't do what he wanted, ...what?
They were unprofessional, inefficient, disrespectful of my time and thoughtless of my personal safety.

The movers were suppose to be at our house to unload a pod between 1-2. The job they were at before ours ran into some electric outage problems. The elevator at the previous place concequently was out. They called and said this was putting their following jobs 2-3 hrs late. I called them after 4 pm to see if they had any updates to the time. I said I needed our pod emptied that day as the pod was being picked up in the morning. I got a call back. The scheduled crew was stilled tied up at their current job. The gentleman I talked to was from another crew. They finished their job and we're on their way to our job but they were an hour away. The crew arrived after 5. There were 3 men and they were able to unload the pod in the two hour time frame. The movers did a good job. We did waste a
lot of time waiting with nothing to do but wait. Suggest they have a backup crew on standby in emergency situations. Glad the other crew stepped up.

Robert and Vernon arrived as expected and they are fantastic. They work hard and are respectful. I had more left to do and I had the come back today ! Also, I was able to schedule with just one day’s notice. thank you Onyx Pearl, mr robertson, Robert and Vernon. Highly recommend.

They were on time and had me do a walk through of my items and where they would be loading. They were very efficient and got my parent loaded up in a little over an hour. They asked what items needed special care and picked them accordingly. There were two TVs that they suggested i put in my personal vehicle (due to my uhaul being too big vs the amount i had) and even offer to help pack them up. They were polite and i would absolutely recommend them to anyone in the area!

Make sure that you (the owner of the property) have everything packed appropriately. Then they can come in and do their job by loading the truck/pods.
They finished well ahead of schedule and took their time to pack everything appropriately.

The helpers were young men who had to be directed on everything they did. They did not seem to have any knowledge on the fine art of moving, organizing, and they did not have do anything above and beyond. Would not use them again just because I did not know that they were out of Cleveland and I got charged mileage. I would use someone closer to Findlay next time.
