The owner, Daniel, assured me of there were any damages that I would be credited. But was confident there wouldn't be. The first piece of furnature they moved, they dropped on my new, hardwood floors and stairs. They damaged the paint on all of my walls and one of the three gentlemen moved very slowly. They used my bathroom for #2 and were only here for 2 hours. They were also 10 minutes late. I would not recommend using them for your move. Hire a Helper, however was very understanding and issued a credit to my card.

I was especially happy that they were available on extremely short notice.
I had arranged through Hire A Helper for Pat's Mighty Movers to help us that day. Despite having made these arrangements several weeks in advance, and despite having *confirmed* these arrangements several times, Pat's Mighty Movers backed out on the job a half-hour before they were supposed to show up! Needless to say, I would NEVER call Pat's Mighty Movers again.
Fortunately, Hire A Helper pro-actively found Foxhound Movers for us, and everything turned out OK.

After having Chas Transport wind up as a no show (with no phone calls to explain), I immediately called up HireAHelper customer service and the rep Emily promptly and courteously found a replacement. This was when we were matched up with Foxhound Moving. The next day we were called by Foxhound during their arrival window to inform us their guys were caught in traffic, but on their way. The guys showed up about 15 mins late (no problem since they gave us a courtesy call), but jumped out of their car ready to work. These guys worked non-stop from beginning to end, until all of our goods were off the truck. They also had a good attitude the entire time, which is always a plus. I would absolutely recommend these guys to anyone needing moving services!

As with all service jobs at your home, the time stated is a window. The gentlemen that did the work for me kept me updated as to exactly when they would arrive.
Once on site they got right to work and did an excellent job.
I had a few fragile pieces and you would have thought that they owned them the way they treated them.
I highly recommend these gentlemen.

My biggest concern with hourly labor is always speed. These guys hit the ground running and never looked back. I would highly recommend Foxhound to anyone who wants to deal with a professional, well run organization for your moving needs

The movers were polite/ hard working/ efficient, but they came late and with no supplies (ie dolly).

There was a problem with some divorced couple so they were 2 hours late. Now I understand that life sometimes gets in the way, and I was understanding of that.
They sent 2 other people eventually, one being the supervisor, who spent the majority of the time on the phone (most likely trying to deal with the chaos this couple caused on everyone's schedule. One man moving the apartment meant it took 3 hours to get everything out.
Now the owner was really understanding, and didn't bill me for the extra hour after i explained everything. So his customer service was fantastic.
That being said, I don't know if it was the loaders themselves, or the situation, but there were fragile boxes that were stacked upon, a cabinet was broken, and we found scratches on everything. They were loaders, not movers, but they still could have been more careful.

Very nice young guys but obviously not professionals. They were moving a large, heavy TV cabinet. They didn't have any straps or mats. They damaged the wall in 5 places going down the stairs. Then they dropped the piece half way down the stairs to the basement. Fortunately nothing broke!
