The JL movers showed up later that I requested, however my order was placed at 4:00 AM, only five hours prior to the requested start time, and I was thrilled that they were so responsive to my order. I was called after the order was confirmed and again to let me know that they would be an hour later than I requested. Communication is key, and I was communicated with and kept informed.
Joel and darn, I forget the other guy's name, did a great job and were very courteous, approachable, open to placing items in the rooms specified, and handled my property as if it was their own. I will use JL again on Saturday when my items are moved from VA and will certainly be requesting these gentlemen again.

I had a wonderful experience with JL Movers. The two guys showed up on time (early even) and ready to work. They were very nice and careful with my stuff. Lugged all of it down three flights of stairs to the truck and then off the truck and up two flights of stairs to my new place.
They were quick and attentive and focused on getting the job done within the two hours I'd paid for. They were vigilant in keeping track of the time and even told me to check in five minutes before the two hour mark. I told them I was more than willing to pay for the extra hour, but he told me they would be done in about 15 minutes and that it wasn't necessary for me to pay for a whole extra hour.
That sort of detail and consideration is amazing and I was really impressed.
I had a good amount of stuff but these guys were like machines. I don't think I even saw them take a break the whole time.
They really made what could've been a horrid moving day very much relaxed. I would definitely recommend them to anyone and rehire them if I move again.
