We set up for 3 movers for 4 hours to arrive between 3 and 4 pm. the movers did not show untill almost 7pm. communication was spotty as we did not learn about them running late or when they may arrive only an hour before even, though messages were left after 430pm. when they arrived there were 2 movers and they said the third was on the way, the third mover showed 2 hours later. The good part is the movers who showed moved quickly and packed everything really well. I just wish they would have showed up on time or at least reached out before 4pm tpo say they would be late. then we could have went and got dinner while we waited but we had no idea when they would show up and we did not want to have them show up and we not be threre.

Mover's response:
We do apologize for the lack of communication that day. It was raining/lightning during our first move which made it take longer than expected. We strive to do our best and we look forward to doing your next move! We promise to be on time and communicate clearly about how the day is running and we really appreciate your repeat business!

Let’s start with the guy Tony calling and texting me at 9:30 the night before for no reason but to say they’ll be at my home the next day at 2pm, even though I’d spoken to him earlier in the day to confirm. Then let’s move onto them showing up 3 HOURS LATE!! Then let me tell you how Tony and Gwen reeked of pot so bad when they finally showed up. Their crew was made up of 4 people, 1 of which was their kid son who wasn’t even old enough to drive yet, and only worked appropriately 1 hour, then spent the rest of it bouncing a ball of my dining room wall, which I had to ask him not to do as I’m trying to sell my house. The fourth person, a woman I have no clue of her name, kept going into other rooms where no one was to talk on her phone. At about 2.5 hours after they showed (I booked 4 movers for 3 hours) 2 of them left to go pick up pizzas and we’re gone for 30 minutes. They complete helped themselves to my case of water I was saving for our three day drive across country to our new home, took my husbands 2 Red Bulls out of our fridge and drank them, and then left sausage from their pizza on my kitchen floor, and empty pizza box with crusts on the counter. They were so bad, they took 8 HOURS to load up our stuff and we ended up not even being able to fit everything because they removed stuff that was bolted to walls (built in cabinets) and loaded them into the truck. Working with them was an absolute nightmare!!!! Let me not forget to mention that Tony found a piece of my sons chalk and was tagging graffiti on the ground in front of our house. Yes, it’ll wash away, but what kind of professionalism is that?? And let me not forget to mention that Gwen left her “hitter box” for her pot sitting out and my 4 year old grabbed it and asked me what it was. I would never use, nor recommend them to anyone. They made moving the most miserable process ever.

Mover's response:
We did our best! The mother in law did offer drinks seeing the negative reaction from her daughter in law and seeing us all going above and beyond for her. Yes 8 hours to load the 26 ft truck with 4 bedroom house as welll as full garage. We stayed for 2 hours free helping her husband load and strap down his motorcycle to trailer they were pulling. The previous move to Texas was without the 4 year childs items. The "hitter box" was a nicotine vape that after droppping child picked up and I let him know thats not a toy. We were told not to arrive till 3:30pm. Our employee had a family emergency and my son volenteered to come help (2 years of moving training from master mover of 22 years he is qualified). My son (age 15 bounced the ball 3 times before she came in screaming at him as well as myself). The pizza was unable to be delivered so one of our helpers and my son had to go get food (8 hours of back breaking labor and lack of gratitude we needed to eat) yes the phone died and took longer. The small dent in wall we took off additional 2 hours (she stated 350$ to fix) we do have insurance with hire a helper so customer was double compensated for the small dent in wall from bowflex being moved from upstairs to downstairs in very narrow staircase.

I was expecting to get 1 lady and 2 men movers. Instead I was sent two women and 1 man. I just felt that with at least two men they would have been able to lift the heavier items quicker and easier. Often times instead of taking two people to move something, it was taking all three of them which cut into my time, thus making me have to pay for extra time.

Mover's response:
I understand where your coming from Toya. Moving is looked at as a “Mans job” In society. In my mind I am trying to break that mindset. If you have the proper equipment and know how..:. brut strength comes secondary. Now as you saw Anthony is like having 2 guys (the man looks like he can bench press a Buick). We did do our best in loading the truck properly and hope you made it safely to your destination. With having multiple stops and elevator that definitely eats up precious time as well.

Trying to be as generous as I possibly can be during this review.

Got off to a late start - scheduled at 9:00 AM to 9:30 AM CST arrival - they did call to advise being late but showed up and got started moving at 11:00 AM CST.

The previous day to the helpers arriving, I personally loaded and moved nearly all the boxes out of the residence myself. The bedrooms were primarily cleared with the exception of some desk pieces and empty (inexpensive type) book cases. The furniture that remained was in the family room and master bedroom - only.

They worked hard in preparing, loading and unloading the 16' truck. I was advised Budget Truck rental that they reserve their 25'+ trucks for commercial business - not private use. I had hoped for 2 runs, one from my residence and another from the storage facility in the 5 hours I allocated - nope! One run with a refrigerator and washer/dryer and some furniture to the house 30 miles away - they stopped for a 30 minute lunch. After unloading - they were through for the day. They figured that was 5 hours.

Since I had the truck for 3 days, the following day, I loaded 2/3 of the storage facility (10 x 30) by myself and they called later in the afternoon. They were willing to help unload the truck at the new residence but wanted additional funds for a minimum of 2 hours. They wanted to be paid in cash - only.

Along for the ride during both times was one of the movers senior (73 year old) father that needed to be occasionally checked. He was fine and very appreciative of the air conditioning and a seat - if one was available during the move.

I eventually followed up by getting a 12' truck and moving the remaining 1/3 of the storage facility myself. While the help was certainly needed and appreciated - it was anything but inexpensive - it adds up fast in to the hundreds of dollars - quickly. End result was I had to pack the storage facility myself even though I paid for he assistance to get one load unloaded - and had to follow up with another truck rental to get the storage facility finally moved out to the new residence - this I did myself.

By all means - compare - what it would cost to get a 2+ man crew and truck to do the moving vs. renting your own truck and then paying helpers by the hour. Especially, compare 'additional' hours costs! Also, get some touch up paint for the door sills, the dolly wheels can wreak havoc with them.

Mover's response:
Gary I completely understand where you’re coming from! we did enjoy working with you and getting you into your brand new place! I Appreciate honest feedback and found something called corner bumpers that we can put in place for narrow hallways so the dollies don’t bump into them. I know you did reserve us for the five hours and even with taking off 30 minutes off the clock to stop and grab some food from drive-through those hours go quick.
