I scheduled my movers to arrive between 8 and 9 a.m.and I received a call at 8:55 that someone had called in sick and the person was going to have to go pick up another guy to do the job with him and that he would be there by 10 at the very latest. I put in a customer service request at 10:15 and received a call from Hire a Helper a 10:25 regarding the situation. I was told that the the mover didn't respond when the customer service agent called and was told that they would try to find someone else to do the job or give me refund if my movers didn't show up. I had already rented a U-Haul and had been unloading it since 8 a.m. myself at this point. I was ready to call and cancel the whole order after my friends offered to show up when the "movers" pull in at 10:40. It turns out to be a man and what is clearly a young teenage boy, probably 15 years old, definitely Not a mover. I commented on the time and was told that he got pulled over for speeding on the way there and that's why it took so long.
They didn't seem to be in any hurry, as if they were hoping to go over the 2 hours I had already paid for. The young man obviously didn't know what to do and had to wait to be told what to do. I finally told them that I had to work later and I needed to focus on the unloading of what was already packed because they were so late so we went to the unloading site. I had a friend there and we helped unload because there was no way we were going to finish on time. We finished 10 minutes early and I could tell that the man was waiting for a tip. I was prepared to tip at 8 o'clock this morning but that plan was long gone when you show up at 10:40 for a 9 at the latest job and waste my time and I load the truck myself! I could have gotten better service cheaper hiring someone off Craigslist! And why isn't his kid in school? Super unprofessional and I was not impressed. Maybe if J&E had planned better for this, there would have been no need to speed to avoid being an hour and 40 minutes late.

J & E are two very kind, considerate, and professional movers. They arrived in the expected time window and got straight to it, finishing the job well before the appointment was over. I'm glad I hired them for the job, and would certainly do it again.

Josh called me to let me know he was running late, and when his crew arrived they asked the right questions to know my expectations, got straight to work, took very minimal breaks and worked hard. They moved my 10x20 storage unit into my house in 3 hours! (Using a 26 foot Uhaul). All our interactions were professional and helpful. Josh and Evan crushed it!

J&E did a wonderful job. They moved a 20ft uhauls worth of stuff to my 4th floor apartment (with an elevator) and couldn't have been more polite, respectful, and fast. They even fit me in super last minute, and brought an extra helping hand at no extra charge. I would recommend them to anyone who is considering hiring them.

Best crew for moving I have ever had. Very hard workers and showed up on time and with all the equipment needed for unloading the large truck. Will keep them in mind if I have to move again soon.

Showed up an hour and half after we were suppose to start, and for which I had to get approval from the HOA.

Yes I told him to forget about deducting the one man from the job because I was basically tired of dealing with him.

Had a one hour window and was 40 minutes later than that window (traffic due to first game of season). Regardless, SUPER fast. Had to deal with a three floored townhouse and only took 2 hours to empty the truck. Very, very fast.
