Williams and Sons Moving was fantastic! My crew showed up on time, and completed there work well before out estimate. Extremely hard workers, and took great care with all of my furniture and belongings. They were extremely personable and friendly, and I would definitely use them again.

The movers managed to load everything within the two hour window and as the second hour was approaching, things started going downhill. They damaged my wall while hand carrying my washer downstairs and failed to inform me about it. They constantly hit walls and left scratch marks as they maneuvered furniture throughout the house. I discovered a broken lamp in the back of the moving trailer and informed one of the movers about it and was told “it was like that already.” He never apologized for it or the damaged walls.”
After they were finished, one of the movers walked back to his vehicle and returned to ask me “are you the type of customer who likes to tip, and if so, can you write a review and mentioned that you provided a tip, maybe you can give us, like, $30.” He said he was the owner of Williams and Son.
The most disrespectful concern was the following text I received after the movers left:
“Hey Tim sorry to bother you . I'm not texting asking for a tip at all I just wanted to make sure Justin didn't receive one and me not get any. Once again sorry to bother you so late.”
I would not hire this moving company and anyone considering them should highly avoid them.

Keilin and Sterlin showed up promptly, ready to work. They worked diligently from the time they arrived, until the job was finished. They strategically and vigilantly packed the truck so that all of my property made it safely to my destination and was a breeze for the unloading movers to remove and position in my new place. I have no intentions of moving again any time soon but if I were, I would definitely call Williams & Sons to do the job! I will certainly be recommending them to anyone who asks about moving services in the future. Glad that I choose these guys!!!

Once they got to our home, they were very good -- polite, helpful and capable. The challenge was that they were 2.5 hours late, and in order to find this out, I had to call their firm and text multiple times to get status. They would be really stellar if they cam on time, but I give them credit for showing up on the right day, and for being professional, polite and capable on a veyr hot day.

Due to so truck issues in the morning they did not arrive at the scheduled time but they called and explained the problem and set up for a later time on the same day. Good communications.
The three guys worked really hard getting a very heavy and awkward table saw and band saw down some difficult terrain.
Their company apparently doesn't provide the movers with a variety of tools and they used my heavy-duty cart to help.
My property was handled with as much care as possible and all three guys were very respectful.
I would use Williams & Sons again.

This was the worst moving experience I have ever had! They showed up 3 and a half hours late, and only sent 2 instead of the 3 movers I requested. They were rude and unprofessional. One of them tried to tell me he needed more money to move one of my items. They didn't listen to where I wanted stuff put so just to get them the hell out of here, I helped finish the move. One of them was in my front yard cussing and yelling on the phone while the other was bumming cigarettes from me. They damaged the threshold on my front door and broke some pictures. All the cushions and pillows were soaked with sweat and they put dents in the walls. If I were you, I would stay clear of this mover!

My husband and I hired Williams & Sons Moving through Hire A Helper. We had a horrific experience - and as a military family we have moved a lot but this has been by far our worst experience. I would like to start by saying the two gentlemen who were sent out for our job were as kind as they could be and very hard workers. However, they were hired off of Craigslist and seemed to have no prior professional moving experience.
We had two locations: a 10x10 storage unit which had all of our boxes from our 750 sq. ft apartment AND then our apartment which just had furniture left inside. This was communicated in detail to Hire A Helper. The two workers filled the whole truck at the storage unit by placing box by box on the floor of the truck. When they arrived at the apartment they had to unload the whole truck so they could repack it appropriately. This is when we realized they had not been given any information in the Craigslist post other than just to show up. I called the service provider directly and spoke with a very kind woman who assured me this wasn't okay and that she very sorry for our situation.
However, that was followed by a VERY NASTY phone call from the owner Justin who told me " You need to get a bottle of wine and chill because moving is stressful". This was only one of the rude statements he made on the phone.
END RESULT: The truck was packed so poorly that they were not able to pack our entire apartment up and they 100% should have been able to. We rented a U-Haul truck that was actually a step up from what we needed. They left for the day and we still have several items out after 5.5 hours of work. The truck looked like a closet that is shoved so full of items that if you reopen the door everything would fall out. We ended up having to rent a second truck in Alabama, drive all the way back to Mississippi and pack everything else ourselves.
I have NEVER in my life experienced such bad behavior from a company owner. Do NOT book with this company.

How should a customer prepare for moving day?
Customers can prepare for moving day by making sure that during booking , we receive the correct address with any apartment numbers or gate codes if applicable and the number of bedrooms we’ll be moving and /or items if a commercial move. If the movers will be moving items to a storage unit, that the storage already be in place prior to the movers arriving.
