EK Business Solutions provides commercial and residential labor services including, loading and unloading any type of truck, pod, container, or anything else you may have. We also offer packing and unpacking for your office, home, or rental property. Furniture disassembly and reassembly is included with all moves at no extra charge. Our movers come prepared with all equipment needed such as dollies, furniture carts, tie down straps (for local moves only), tools to disassemble and assemble your furniture.

I hired two helpers to load my belongings from a storage unit on a truck for a move. The two men who showed up were really friendly and quick. The problem was, when the truck arrived at my new home, the contents of the truck were completely disheveled due to the boxes having been improperly packed and secured. I was assured by the movers that everything would be fine, and they knew what they were doing. This was not the case.
Among the damage: a bookcase that literally shattered under the weight of what was stacked on it, a table that was destroyed by a piece of a char that went through it, countless shattered dishes, and most tragically, a $1000 bike which was crushed by the boxes that fell on top of it.
When I contacted the owner of the company, Emily, about what happened, she told me that the company's insurance would not cover the damage to my belongings since they were not damaged due to having been dropped (which apparently is the extent of their coverage). She did not respond to further e-mails from me, including those with pictures of the extent of the damage, and she offer no compensation for the damage--not even a refund or discount of what I paid for this "service."
I regret using EK Business Solutions, and I would strongly suggest anyone reading this to use a more professional, competent company.

They were very helpful and willing to do anything that was asked of them. They carried all of our heavy furniture into the house.

The guys were early and were helpful in not only moving what was packed but in planning how to get it out of the house and putting it into the moving truck so that nothing shifted around. They took care with some of the more unique items like the rickety but family heirloom pie cabinet. Making sure it was moved out of the house without damage, loaded and protected for the move with the supplies we had at hand.
I would certainly use them for any work I have. I wasn't sure what we would need to do, nor the amount of time. They were finished in half the time I had planned and then helped with shuffling items around the house to get ready for the real estate agent presentation.

The 2 men showed up one half hour late and one of them left my job for 1/2 hour in order to notify their next job that they'd be late. Leaving me to be the secondary mover. They worked hard while they were there, but the job would have taken half the time with movers I've used in the past, too bad they were booked. The side beam of my wooden bed frame was dropped while the guys were unloading the truck and a 3 inch splinter of the wood was loosened. When contacted about reimbursement, they asked "is it still usable?" I will not use EK again.

As showin in the "what other people want to know" list, here is my review:
They were an hour and a half late. We reserved a 4-man crew. They only came with 3. They brought no moving supplies with them, carts, etc.which they were supposed to. They were not respectful of our property. For example: a toilet brush was thrown onto a suede chair and liquid from that went all over the chair. They, without our direction, put a patio chair on top of a sofa. The chair was dripping with rust at the bottom from rain, and the rust drained all over the back sdie of the cushion. And that was in the first hour! They were not careful with the overall move. Walls were marked up; furniture was dented. We ended up calling Hire A Helper and expressed our great dissatisfaction. We let them go 2 hours earlier than expected. It was too stressful to continue on with them. I would not recommend them; nor would I ever use them again.
