Save Alot Movers
This company had some problems, some not of their own making. The owners grandfather went into ICU shortly before their appointment and the owner came to the job nearly drunk. I think the reason was that he was very close to his grandfather and was taking his illness badly. He still worked very hard however, I had the same amount of goods unloaded by two men three months earlier and they did the job in half the time with no complaints and a positive attitude. There were four guys in this groop and they struggled alot and had complaints. To add insult to injury they ask for a tip for the workers which you should've warned me about before hand. I would not use this groop again.

On the plus side, they got almost my entire house loaded into the truck we'd rented in about 3 hours.
I knew there was a problem when the driver pulled off the curb from when he'd backed in to load the truck, and the entire load shifted.
Once we arrived at our destination, we noticed that literally not a single piece of wooden furniture made it without significant damage (scratches, chips, scuffs). There was furniture stacked on top of boxes, finished wood stacked on top of finished wood with nothing in between, etc. The entire load was "secured" by one piece of rope tied about 3/4 of the way to the back of the truck. It was just a careless job of packing the truck overall, which resulted in significant damage to some fairly expensive furniture that I own. Some of it can be repaired. Most of it cannot.
To be fair, it would have been good to have more moving blankets (I had about 20 to begin with). But considering that literally every piece of wooden furniture I own is now damaged because of this move, something tells me that the additional blankets wouldn't have made much of a difference.

Dear Customer, Save Alot sincerely apologizes for any damages you received. Unfortunately Save Alot can only provides additional moving pads and straps for local moves & full services moves. Proper supplies and safe driving methods will protect your house hold items to the fullest.(We are local moving company for the DFW area, With that in mind we can not give moving supplies for our customers to take out of state during a load only(Padding, straps, etc.)Theses are items needed to secure a load.

05/15/09 Save A lot Movers took my job on a last minute request. I was extremely pleased with their quick response and no problem attitude. Sidney and his crew were very courteous and professional, my load was very late in the day (5:30) and it’s easy to be tired and grumpy but they were friendly, upbeat and professional the whole time. When they started they never slowed down until they had everything loaded. I had a 26 ft truck and booked them for 2 hours, they had me loaded and ready within that time. I would highly recommend them to anyone needing assistance in moving.
