I hired J and E last minute on a holiday weekend. They were able to fit me in. Due to Memorial Day traffic, they were a bit late but communicated this with me. They worked quickly emptying a full 16 foot pod full of boxes and miscellany into our already jammed with moving boxes garage. They left us plenty of room to work and finished under time. They were friendly and polite. Definitely would use them again and recommend them to others.

Did they show on time? NO. They did not show on time, nor did they call to let me know. The contract indicated they would arrive between 10AM-11am, when they had not arrived by 11AM, I called J&E Moving the owner indicated that they were running late and he meant to call. Once on site, and immediate aggressive behavior was the approach from the owner, including, "We were only hired for 3 hours". No sincere apology for being over 30 minutes late.

Were they prepared for the job? NO. The moving company did not bring any floor covers, rubber rolls to protect floors, tools or hand trucks. They were inexperienced as well.

Did they work hard? They were able to unload the heavy furniture and move it in the house, but not without tremendous challenges because of their inexperience. The owner may have been providing this service, but his team was 3 young men (maybe in their early 20's.) that appeared to not have done this type of work before. They stood around ALOT waiting. I finally stepped in and directed them to move boxes, clothes and items that did not need the owner's direction. These items could be removed and delivered in their rightful places rather than standing around and waiting. I often felt I was baby sitting the young men to do their job.

Were they respectful of your property and goods? NO! Absolutely not. They dragged my Ethan Allan furniture on the road and drive way (rather than lifting) breaking the bottom glides. Now my furniture does not set level. They were not respectful when moving the furniture in the house as well. Walls were damaged, carpet damaged, furniture banged up and the owners overall attitude was aggressive and threatening. I never received an apology and I was threatened into signing a blank document releasing them of the liability or they would walk off the job.

Would you use them again? Absolutely not.

Ok now lets be real here you guys had to sign a release of liability after you guys tried to get your big stuff yourselves all most crushing your friend i took over did i want to no but i cant watch that happen and not help but after your friend told me to **** OFF and i said you talk to me like that again we where leaving and you say not a word to him for telling me your moving labor help to strait **** OFF that told me you felt the same way that being said in this case im going to stay professional here your aggressive manner and demeanor towards me and my crew is why you had to even sign any paper work but after telling me to **** OFF im not sorry to be quit frank the whole thing blows my mind to think you can just say that to someone helping you but you have a great life but TRUTH BE TOLD IVE SEEN IT ALL NOW I MEAN IT ALL. Josh and his two helpers did a wonderful job of loading the truck. we have no issues whatsoever they were nice, courteous , did a good job and a pleasure to work around. Hired J and E through Hire A Helper. I would like to preface this by saying they finished the job in the 2 hrs I had them booked for. However, I gave a 3 star rating as communication was really not great, and we didn’t get the two men we had actually booked. We got one man, and two teenagers? (Which now also means you should tip all 3, and we only had tips for 2) They honestly were not as efficient as 2 men. Meaning, when I hired movers to move our belongings into our truck it took them bout an hour to get it all done. So, just maybe be aware of your time booked. As for as communication, I got a confirmation email through hire a helper, but it states in there that the moving company would contact me to confirm. Their message ‘we’re on a move, and we’ll contact you shortly’. Never got a call. I will say we booked them day before move, so I am thankful we got them. There were several movers who were free to move us to be fair. Moving day comes around, I call them twice, left 3 hours in between before calling again. The voicemail is full so you can’t leave a voicemail. I text them as well, finally got a reply there hours later. I also emailed them, but that was never addressed. So then, during our 1 hr window of their arrival time, I get no call that they will be late. I call, 45 min in, no reply. Then I finally get a call 50 min into our window, telling me ‘we’ll be late by 30 min’. I feel as a company they should be reachable. Finally, they arrived and didn’t really speak a word to us. Like we had done something wrong. My husband is a very nice man, tried making conversation. The young teenagers did introduce themselves, so that was nice. And yes, they got the job done. So that’s why the 3 stars. Just my honest opinion after having moved many times.

You got a mover that gets the Job done as to your job I got your 26" foot truck in one 10×20 you rented 2 of them it's OK you guys can have the other available companies help you if there available and we drive an hour a day and there is traffic which is why you got a when I hit traffic but have a great day.
