This is the second time I have used Get Up and Go Movers to assist in a move. On both occasions the movers were on time and extremely courteous and professional. I have several heavy items and they moved these without any issue. Additionally, I lived on the third floor of a walk-up apartment building with very narrow stairs and they were both careful and extremely quick about moving my items from the apartment onto the moving truck. In fact they finished in less time that I had anticipated. The truck was packed expertly and nothing moved or was damaged on the 16 hour drive to my new home. I had only one issue with the entire move and it was slight. Upon unloading the truck and putting together my furniture I found that my kitchen table had damage on its edge. Based on the type of damage I can only assume the table was put down (hard) on the concrete/asphalt before being loaded in the truck but I don't believe the two gentlemen were aware of the damage. If they were aware I believe they would have mentioned it as I found them to be very honest and trustworthy. Ultimately I would use Get Up and Go Movers again in the future if I were living in the DC Metro Area. The gentlemen are responsible, kind and efficient. They work quickly and effectively. I give them two thumbs up! :)

Walter and Daniel were great--thanks, guys! They got everything moved quickly and efficiently and didn't blink an eye when I found out there was an unexpected set of stairs to bring stuff down at my new place on top of a long hallway. Despite me not getting furniture pads, my furniture was left unharmed--which is a lot better than the scratches I put on it during my previous move. I'm going to buy my friend Sam a beer for recommending them to me. :-)

Our movers showed up right on time and I don't know what we would have done without them! We had kind of a complicated situation, emptying one truck, going to another apt. to load stuff to bring to the new place (in the apt. bldg. right next door), and then going back to the apt. and loading a truck with the remainder which was coming back with us. The two movers were very nice, worked quickly and efficiently and we actually finished 20 minutes early. I would definitely use them again and recommend them highly!

Knowing that the contact person was not the person I should have been communicating with the hour prior to beginning would have been extrememly helpful as my voice and text messages to the original contact went unanswered after being informed that the move would occur later than the designated time. Additionally, while the two employees were hard working and accommodating, they were not professional movers as evident by slight damage to furniture and walls in the home.

I was nervous about my first solo move, but was very happy with Get Up and Go Movers. Sam and Lucas were great to work with, very efficient, and even arrived early. Everything was well-packed and all of my belongings arrived at my destination unharmed. I would 100% recommend them to others and would use Get Up and Go movers again in the future if I ever find myself back in the area.

For the most part, these guys were ok. They were running late due to traffic, but overall polite, and worked the whole time. They even agreed to stay an extra hour to help. The only problem I had with them is they were helped us load our U-haul truck, but they just kind of threw stuff in there in no particular order which made it extremely to utilize the space efficiently. Items almost tumbled out of the truck once we reached our destination.

Great job. The two guys showed up about 15 minutes early. Unloaded a 6x12 uhaul pack to the gills in 1 hour. Nothing was damaged during the unload process. They took everything up 3 flights of stairs with no problems or compliants. Would use the again. Very professional company. A+++

These guys were awesome. They were on time, and fast. We hired them for 2hrs., and they only took 2hrs. They were careful with our belongings and treated them like they were their very own personal belongings. I would recommend "Get up and Go Movers, LLC" to anyone. Excellent service! Great job!

The 2 guys that came were great, they moved 3 room apartment in under 2 hours. They were about 45 minuttes late, due to traffic. A call to indicate would have been helpful, but all worked out well. Thanks again.

The 2 gentlemen that came to help unload my pod were very nice. They arrived on time. I had signed up to 2 hours but it only took the guys 1 hour to unload. They put everthing where I told them to and asked after everything was un loaded if there was anything else. I would strongely recommend them to help in moving. They you Get Up and Go Movers, LLC.

These guys were not only efficient but they were very meticulous about arranging our possessions in a safe manner so they wouldnt move during the trip. They lifted alot of heavy heavy boxes and are very strong and capable. Also, my husband and I were very happy with the courtesy we were given by the movers- so polite. We went over our 2 hours but we had alot more stuff than we thought, I would hire them again, absolutely!

Doesn't get any better! Adjusted last minute to spend double the original time. Loaded a 26 ft truck front to back, top to bottom. Punctual, excellent communication throughout and great customer service. I truly dislike moving, but watching 2 people work so hard and so well together really made the experience much easier to swallow. Now if I could only get them to come down to SC and unpack! If I ever move back to the DC Metro area, they will be my first call!

The movers assigned to me did a very good job. They were timely, professional, courteous, and efficient. I was also very impressed with their dedication. Although they had speech and hearing impediments, their communication skills were excellent and their attitude towards life was inspiring. The packing job was a good one and made for a stable ride: my items remained in place throughout. My furniture did sustain some minor damage, but I think this was due more to the cheaper quality of the furniture and the thin moving blankets provided by the truck company than the movers.

Everett, Matt and Daniel were professional, courteous and friendly. The unloading of our PODS container was efficient and done with care. Although they were 15 minutes late, that was to be expected with the traffic in our area. They apologized and made sure they honored the length of time set forth in the Hire a Helper agreement. We would definitely work with them again in the future.

We had a very large (53 foot with a minivan) truck to unload. We had the crew of hearing impaired young men. At first I was a bit hesitant as I thought the language barrier might lengthen the process, but I was wrong. They were awesome and worked really hard, they had no problem with our heaviest furniture. Our truck driver was very impressed with them! Thanks for making a difficult job easier.

Two helpers were about 40 minutes late, apparantly due to traffic. They had tried to contact us repeadidly on their PDA to no avail. Began work immediately and in a word were "awsome"! Both were deaf, but communication (via notes and lip reading) was not a real problem. My concern was that the truck may not hold all our possessions. The gentlemen surveyed the truck, checked out our stuff, and with a thumbs up indicated we were OK. Everything fit w/room to spare. The loading was professional and both took care to ensure that our fragile items were not damaged. The job was completed in just under two hours. Kudos to both men!!

What a great job! Our movers were even a few minutes early! Both young men were deaf but it was very easy to communicate with them. I was very impressed! I only wish we could have brought them with us,(4 hours away) to help us unpack! I would higher them again without any question! Thank you for your help! I know it was not an easy job moving all of that stuff from a 3rd floor apartment!

The three gentlemen, from Gallaudet University, that helped us load our rental truck were wonderful!!!! They loaded the truck so that each space was minimized while ensuring that there would be no damage to the furniture during loading or transportation. They worked from the very first minute until the last not even taking a short break to get some water. I would definitely hire them in the future if I ever nead this service again. On a scale from 1, poor, to 5, great, I would give them a 10!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Alex & Daniel did a wonderful job loading our truck. They were friendly, efficient and worked hard. Our electricity had gone off that afternoon, so they had to deal with a dark basement and very warm house. they took it all in stride and finished before the 2 hours we had hired them for. We would definitely recommend them. My daughter gave them an "11" !

My movers were more than 30 minutes late as a result I had to help move items in. Warning to others: don't make any appointments after your movers timeline or you will be late. I did make the guys HURRY so I could get my trailer back so as to not be charged an extra day

VERY PLEASE WITH THE INDIVIDUALS THAT WERE SENT. HARD WORKING AND PROFESSIONAL. THE ONLY NEGATIVE COMMENT I HAVE IS REGARDING THEIR DECISION NOT TO BRING TOOLS (I.E HANDTRUCK, ETC..) TO MY LOCATION. IN MOVING EVERYTHING BY HAND, SEVERAL PIECES OF FURNITURE WERE BROKEN, THAT MIGHT NOT HAVE BEEN, IF MOVED BY A HANDTRUCK, FOR EXAMPLE.

Our movers were excellent! We had Daniel and another guy (sorry! can't remember his name) They showed up early, were extremely professional, and worked very hard. We booked them for five hours to move all of our stuff out of a storage unit and into our new house (3 bed). I was expecting to have to add an hour to our reservation. Instead, our movers finished early. They moved all of our stuff in about 4hrs 15 minutes. I was extremely impressed. They were both deaf, yet we had no problems communicating with them. They worked well together and handled our stuff with an extreme amount of care. In fact, they were hands down the best movers we ever had. (This is our 5th move in 2 years) I would absolutely recommend them to anyone. And I will definitely use them again on our next move.

Alex and Travis with Get Up and Go Movers did an EXCELLENT job! They were on time and very courteous. We could not have asked for a better moving crew. Alex and Travis were very careful with all of our household furnishings. They are both energetic with customer satisfaction driven attitudes. We were originally scheduled to have another moving company in the area unload our truck. The contact at the other company seemed to have an attitude problem with I contacted them so I decided not to trust them with our things. We changed to Get Up and Go Movers the night before our move. Fortunately, Get Up and Go Movers was able to accept our job. I would recommend Alex and Travis to anyone that is looking for quality movers with excellent customer service skills and most importantly are hard workers. Thanks again Alex and Travis for helping make the final part of our move to the DC area easier!

I was very pleased with the men who unloaded my storage containers. They were on time, very professional, courteous, pleasant, efficient and wouldn't let me carry anything myself! They insisted that they were here to help me get moved in. Considering the hot humid weather and the building obstacles, they went overboard. They were quick, and most importantly CAREFUL with my things. After everything was in my apartment they even put my bed together for me. I am recommending them to my friends. Three helpers (Mark, Chris and one other helper - I apologize that I do remember his name) did an excellent job moving all the items into the truck. They were extremely courteous, professional and accomplished the job in the expected amount of time. I would strongly recommend them to anyone needing assistance when moving.

The same three helpers followed us from my home to my daughter's new apartment. They were courteous, professional and moved all the items into the apartment. They even made the extra effort to assemble furniture (they offered to assist us in any way needed). They are exceptional at their job and I would stongly recommend them to any needing assistance with a move.

Movers were courteous and professional. I didn't think they would be able to get everything into the truck, but they rearranged things until everything fit. They worked quickly, and when it ended up taking them a little longer than the time I had booked them for, they stayed until the job was completed. I gave them 4 stars instead of 5, only because a few things were damaged either while they loaded the truck or due to shifting. When the truck was unloaded, the damaged items were spotted before they were touched, so I know it happened before the unload.

Through a series of somewhat unfortunate and certainly improbably events, the helpers were not able to arrive for several hours later than our pre-arranged appointment. However, once they showed up they were extremely productive and courteous. Once the work commenced, I have no complaints and only compliments for this service.

Benjamin and Louis ( Get Up and Go Movers, LLC) arrived exactly at the scheduled time. They were extremely careful with the items to be unloaded from the truck and placed them throughout the house as directed. They were polite and finished the work without delay. I arrived at my daughter's apartment and right on time, the two movers were there and ready. They did a superb job of moving and loading. They also repositioned all the furniture from two earlier loads I put on - to make sure there was no damage in the 1000 mile trip. The attitude and service were both superb! I would highly recommend Get Up and Go Movers to anyone. Highly trustworthy and reliable!
