They took a well deserved break at one point but not longer than 15 minutes to catch their breath and drink a good amount of water. They brought a hand truck, furniture dolly and appliance dolly all at the ready. They moved my stuff with great care and did not damage either my stuff nor the walls or doorways even in some very tight situations with the larger stuff. They were amiable with a good sense of humor but they never got out of line, and even though I cuss "like a sailor" I never once heard them utter a single expletive in response to me. I would definitely hire these guys again for any of my future moves. Well worth the money I paid and I recall having the thought several times during the move "Boy am I glad I hired these guys" Thank you for the help Ray, Matthew and Ryan!

Perhaps the most impressive thing was the care they used in the "engineering feat" of moving our heavy and large piano up seven stairs without damaging our new wood floors. The good news: As I said, Johnny hustled hard the entire time. He was very apologetic and worked to explain how we would adjust the billing to compensate for different things. Overall the job too, longer than expected - partially due to the third helper showing up over an hour late. So Johnny and I talked and he agreed to the original payment being sufficient. The bottom line: If you're looking for someone who will place every box in the exact place you want it or are picky about things - don't go to Johnny. If you want solid help from a friendly guy and his helpers - Johnny is great. Be nice to him and he treats you well. Everything in our second story two bedroom apartment was moved in one trip with a 17' truck into our second story (with a loft) apartment. Johnny and his crew worked to get it done and took care of our stuff (even taking apart and reassembling our dining room table). For the price, it was definitely worth it.

No notice or contact prior to the move. I had to call them 5 minutes before their expected arrival to give last minute logistics (e.g. where the truck was located since it was around the block). Patiently waited 20 minutes, called back got voicemail. Waited another 15 minutes, called back got voicemail. Waited another 10 minutes, called back got voicemail. Finally was on the phone with HireAHelper when they were an hour late with no contact to try and figure out new movers when they called on the other line to say it'd be another 45 minutes. I explained what had happened and would like to know how they were going to compensate for treating me so unprofessionally, they said they'd figure it out when they arrived. They blamed the no notice on their office...but I found out later they forwarded all calls to their cell voicemail. After they arrived, did a quick walkthrough and tried to get them straight to work but had to stop to talk about whether we "were ok". Some mild resistance to following directions on where I wanted stuff to go. I found out later that I even after I had clearly marked the boxes with my glassware, and they put them on the bottom of the pile (under books/files/heavy other boxes). Thank God I used bubble wrap! All around: unprofessional, and not really dealt from their end in a way that suggests they truly understand how to treat a customer right. They were in the wrong, but didn't handle it well, and used it as an opportunity to complain. I'd recommend any friends/ family/ strangers to use another service. Even though they gave me a heavy discount, it wasn't worth the aggravation and stress.

I was very frustrated and concerned that I wouldn't be able to get the Pod there at the right time I had arranged with the movers - I thought I wasn't going to be able to get it done and I only had 1 day. I called Johnny late on a Friday night to explain what happened and see if he could change timing to align with the storage unit delivery. He was very sympathetic and accommodating. He rescheduled the time-frame, called to keep me appraised of minor delays, and arrived with another helper ready to get the job done. He was very methodical in approach, reviewing all items and discussing strategy before beginning. They were both kind and considerate to my concerns, ensuring to wrap the furniture carefully. They were patient with me as I was still finishing putting some boxes together while they were loading in the furniture. When the loading of the unit was complete and I went down to look at it, I was very impressed with how meticulously the content was loaded, packed, and secured. They took very good care of my things and showed me the consideration that larger organizations don't. I was very fortunate to have selected Johnny "B" Movers to help with my move - they really did save the day!

Every now and then one encounters "Murphy's Law" at its worst and for someone that always plans every last detail well in advance, I was facing one trial after another in getting this m…read moreove together. This move should have been a relatively "easy" one as I had everything "set" weeks in advance, only to receive two phone calls, the day before my move, that everything changed. I was intending to make this a surprise move for my roommates, as they were stuck in busy work weeks and my having time off, I figured doing it while they were away would make their lives easier. Basically, this was to be the consolidation of 3 homes moved into one much smaller home and as such, we had some major downsizing to do - lovely furniture, framed art and exercise equipment that were going to be donated to our church members who would, in turn, find people in need to pass these nice items to. Two additional locations, a very rude U-Haul call service center agent, a change in location of meeting places, and to top things off, the oddest weather I have ever seen in Southern CA., a combination of drizzle, pouring rain, hail, white out conditions and ultimately, bright sunshine, then night's darkness in a mountain community, my final destination, were enough to scare any mover enough to run into the opposite direction. Not John and Ray. They remained positive, courteous, conscientious and professional throughout the entire experience and in so doing, eased my mind and reduced what could have been a very stressful day. I wholeheartedly extend my thanks to Johnny "B" Movers, and more specifically, to John Lasatar and Ray Shaul for a job well done. I would recommend their service and Johnny "B" Movers to anyone and everyone looking for excellent service. Great job, guys!
