Family movers was awesome. They were on time and had a POD filled to the brim moved into a three level condo in 1.25 hours (power off and no A/C). The boxes were labeled and they took them to the appropriate rooms. The couch did not fit through the front door and they were experienced enough to get the couch up to a 2nd story balcony sliding door. It cost $120 more for the couch but I didn't have another option. For the speed and professionalism I would recommend and call Family movers again. It took me three days to pack the POD and 1.25 hours to unload.

The many positive aspects of Family Movers were cancelled by their requirement for an additional $100 - cash - on the day of the move. I requested 2 helpers for 2 hours @ $184.00. The move was into an air-conditioned warehouse, level offload onto a loading dock, 4-wheeled dollies available, a twisty walk through the facility to an elevator. The extra $100 charge was because they brought 3 guys and had "a long walk". It took the three guys 2 hours to unload a truck my single mover in Northern VA had loaded by himself in 2 hours. Fortunately, there was an ATM across the road, so I was able to pay them. The good news was they were really great about rescheduling my move three times as my rental truck broke down on the way south. They arrived early, were very personable, and were exceedingly careful with my stuff. If it hadn't been for the unexpected $100 cash charge, they would have been slow but great. I give them only one start because I can't afford surprises like this.

They did a good job. They were fast and careful, and packed the truck well so that nothing was damaged after a 3,000 mile move.

I can't say enough how happy we were with our movers...They arrived on time, WITH an extra helper (which they didn't charge me for) AND finished the 4 hour scheduled time in 2 hours 45 minutes. We have a 4 bdrm house with a lot of furniture and they were able to fit everything into 2 PODS with ease. I definitely plan on using them again in our next move.

Fantastic! These guys showed up early, and did a bang up job.They moved appliances from one location to another. They had their routes mapped out and timed out and were extremely courteous and friendly. Would certainly hire them again.
