A hired 3 men for unloading. Three young men arrived. They were on time, respectful, and worked at a diligent pace. I would hire them again.

They were on time but a little sleepy. Not the most gentle with our stuff. Got into an argument with another tenant in our building. Didn’t put our beds where we asked them to in the truck which forced us to get a hotel room instead of sleeping in our new home the first night. That cost us an extra $200. Pretty nice group of kids but not the most professional moving business. The job got done, but it wasn’t a great experience.

These guys were great. Very quick and efficient. They hit a little traffic on the way in but drove over an hour and a half to the job and kept me completely aware of their arrival time. It actually gave me more time to figure out how I wanted things in the apartment and to bring up the small things on my own. They were very careful, moved things more than once around the apartment and made sure I was happy with the placement. They had my 15ft moving truck unloaded in under an hour! I had them attach the mirror to my dresser and put my bed frame together. They brought all of their own tools and completely fixed my headboard. Unknowingly the previous moving company removed a permanent piece of the headboard so it was completely broken. They ended up making new holes to reattach it thankfully or I would have been without a bed frame. Luckily they unloaded so fast that they had time to fix my bed. Would definitely recommend them.

Overall, our experience with Family & Friends moving company was ok. They arrived an hour after the arrival window ended, but that was because they had car trouble, so I can't really fault them for that. They were incredibly efficient. I was very impressed with how quickly they were able to get all of our furniture out of our 3-story townhouse. They were incredibly skilled at maneuvering our larger pieces of furniture around our awkward stair cases.
They were also very efficient in loading the truck; however, they didn't use blankets/towels to protect quite a few of our pieces of furniture, so much of it came out of the truck with scratches and marks. Luckily we didn't have fantastic furniture to begin with, but I do wish we had been making sure that all the pieces we wanted to protect were adequately covered to prevent marring.
We also had some of the items shift in moving, and a small table was completely obliterated when another piece of furniture slid during transit. The shipment seemed really secure when they left, so I'm not sure how this happened. Luckily we think it can be fixed with wood glue. We also had a few dishes come out of boxes broken, but that could have been our fault, as we were the ones who packed the boxes.
Overall, we were very glad that we hired them, as there was no way that we would have been able to load the moving truck ourselves. If we hired them again, we would work more closely to make sure that everything important was protected with blankets and secured.
