Because a friend had used HireAHelper on two previous occasions with satisfactory results, I decided to select MadDashMovers for my most recent move trusting the same quality service would be provided. It was not and I couldn’t be more disappointed with this moving company. When the movers first arrived they immediately stated that the truck I had rented was too small to hold all of my belongings (17’ truck was rented). Trusting their experience, I returned to the store to rent a larger truck (next size up was 26’) at an additional cost of over $80. After the truck was loaded, the larger truck was too big and over 1/3 of space went unused. Second, the movers were difficult to work with, often ignoring my instructions. As an example, I had furniture blankets placed on my wood furniture for protection. The movers failed to cover many items despite being told to do so and required constant monitoring to ensure any furniture blankets were used at all. They also used very few ropes to secure my belongings, assuring me that despite my concerns things would not move. However, numerous boxes and furniture items shifted and fell in the truck during the drive. The result of this poor packing was damage to my entertainment center, sofa and bicycle. When I called the owner to alert him of the poor job, he accused me of trying to ‘get a free move off of him’ and went so far as to say the damage to my items probably resulted from me either drinking and driving or smashing them myself. I would strongly advise anyone to think twice before using this company.

Mad Dash Movers was great. We hired them to move my mom's one bedroom apartment into a u-haul truck, so we could move her to our city. U-Haul was very busy, and even though we had reserved our truck weeks in advance, they kept saying they didn't know if our truck would be ready at the time the movers were coming. We told Mad Dash this and they were able to talk to U-Haul and expedite the whole process. We got our truck in time and the whole move went smoothly. The moving guys were polite, fast, and careful.
